The scene opens as we see Layla El in her locker room doing chin ups on a bar she set up herself. Layla has a stern look of determination and focus on her face as she counts off the number of chin-ups she has done so far.....
Layla: 20...21...22.....23...24...25..26...27...28
After completing an impressive 40 chin-ups, she grabs a towel to dry her face as she takes a seat and watches the monitor. On the screen, she sees her mixed tag match partner Mike Knox expound on their upcoming match with Terry Lawrence and Christy Hemme.
Ahhhh Terry Lawrence....an old friend from her days in UWI, ECW, wCw and FWA...she hasn't seen him since her last match in wCw. It was going to be good to see him again but business is business. This is one match she has no intentions of losing...friend or no. And then there was Christy Hemme....the fiery little red-head. Christy has shown some improvement as far as her in-ring skills go but not enough for Layla to be too concerned. As her partner so eloquently stated, she would dispose of Christy. That was not an issue.
Layla begins talking to herself as she mentally prepares for her match which is next up on the card.....
Layla: What fortune to be paired with such a vicious partner as Mike Knox....this is going to be a quick match for sure. With my agility and his power...this will be quick work indeed.
*she gets on her ring attire and starts to stretch in preparation*
Terry Lawrence my old friend.....it will be good to see you again after such a long time but this is business not pleasure. I know what you are capable of and of your talent. When it comes to competition, friendship has no place inside of the ring. Once you step into the ring, there are no friends....just combatants ready for battle. Mike will dispatch of you with no problems whatsoever. Of that I am most certain.....
I can't forget about little Christy Hemme. I again have the pleasure of locking up with you in the ring. I took you out once and I will do so again....with relative ease and no remorse. Just because I am no longer champion does not mean that I will go easy on you. You better be ready and bring your A-Game, Christy....this will not be a cake walk. This is a war I have every intention of winning.
Mike, I look forward to working with you tonight. This will be light work for the both of us. See ya at the ring!
