'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: "So... this is how it's going to be?"
Looking into the mirror in his bathroom, was Randy Orton. Staring a hole through the reflective glass. The icy stare reflected back into his face. He slightly tilted his head, as if he were trying to see if the image within the mirror would do as he did. Not to his surprise though, it did. But he wasn't feeling quite like himself at this moment. He wasn't feeling in the right state of mind, he had a headache and he just didn't know what to think. He was hearing things right about now, he was seeing things. After a couple more movements into the mirror, the image beyond himself began to move in different motions, causing Randy to narrow his eyes even more.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: "What... do you want?"
'the legend killer' RANDY ORTON: "I don't want anything. I'm just here to simply make you aware of what you've become. Look at you! Look at you! You're pathetic. You're crazy. You let people talk about you behind your back... they all call you crazy, a sociopath! You accept it! You don't do anything about it. If you were still the ruthless Randy Orton that I am, then none of this would be happening. But you're not... you're spineless, and you're essentially worthless."
The apparition staring back at Randy then looked down and spoke quietly to Randy. Of course this was all within his head but to Randy, this seemed like reality. This seemed like it was as real as it was going to get.
'the legend killer' RANDY ORTON: "I would have even sufficed for the evil bastard that would DDT Stephanie McMahon at the drop of a dime, and the man that would threaten people for no damn reason. That's the kind of Viper that I like... but where you shined was definitely as 'The Legend Killer.' But now... what are you doing? You're losing in matches against rookies. Explain yourself! Explain how you've managed to let yourself sink so god damn low! YOU'RE NOT EVEN IN THE MAIN EVENT SCENE ANYMORE! You're wrestling matches against the jobber.... Mike Knox. Explain how I fell so damn low, where did you go wrong? Where did I go wrong? Are you actually going to fix this any time soon? Because I know for certain that this... it needs to be fixed and it needs to be fixed immediately."
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: "This is a process. Everything that I do... it leads to a build up. Everything that I do is just going to accumulate and end up into something larger than life. I'm going about things in my own methodical way! My OWN way! You're just going to have to see what happens in the end. Everything that I do... it's planned out. You think I wanted to win that damn intercontinental title? You think that I wanted to become a champion for a title that is only to be considered as mediocre? I don't settle for mediocrity... I leave that for people like Mike Knox, and for the other rookies. I do not settle for it, which is why I didn't even bother with winning the title. Did you think that I wanted it? Did you think that ever in my life I would want to hold that fuckin' title again? NO! I dislike being the intercontinental champion! I dislike everything about it... you know why? Because I am above that title. It puts a damper on my image. And if my image at this moment is a man that loses to rookies, then so be it. But, I warn you... things aren't going to be like this for much longer. You'll see. If you don't believe me, then just wait. You just wait.."
'the legend killer' RANDY ORTON: "Wait for what Randy? Huh?! Wait for what? For hell to freeze over? I'm and tired of waiting for you to actually do something. You keep saying that this and this is a process but I don't see any progress. Just admit it Randy. You're a has-been. You're still in your prime but you're nothing more than a fucking has-been. You used to be a massive career killer and now you can't even beat the pants off of a couple of rookies. What is wrong with you? You say that you're going about things in this methodical way, well you're being too slow! Quicken up the pace and show people that you're not down and over with. Because the way that I see it is that, these people they aren't afraid of you anymore. I mean I remember when people used to dread having to face you, but now they can't wait to get their hands on you. You know why? Because you lose so damn easily. I think I know why though. You're distracted. You're distracted by Samantha and those children. They're getting to you Randy and it shows inside of the ring with your deteriorating effort that you put into your work."
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: "I love my wife to death and the last thing that she is to me is a distraction. I love my children as well and they're not a distraction to me. I've told you time and time again, I'm in the right state of mind, I am exactly where I want and where I need to be, and you can say that I'm not, you can say that I'm slipping or that I'm not in the right state of mind, but the truth of the matter lies within myself. It doesn't lie with you. So when I say that I'm fine, when I say that what I'm doing is for the betterment of myself because in the end it will pay off, then that's exactly what I mean when I say it. It will pay off, so don't you go about preaching to me saying that what I'm saying is a lie because I should know that what I'm saying is not a lie. If anyone here is oblivious then it's you! Because you don't know me! You don't know who I am! I know everything about you! You know.... nothing about me! You have no idea the types of problems that I'm dealing with these days! You have no idea the types of issues that I'm faced with on a daily basis. You're living the good life kid."
'the legend killer' RANDY ORTON: "I know what I have and what I don't have Randy. Something you don't have right now though is a father. The man that raised you! The man that pretty much made you what you are today. You owe everything to that man! You'd owe him your life if it truly came down to it, yet you shun him and keep him out in the dark? What type of son are you? What type of man are you?! You know... I've pretty much talked down to you this whole time, but I didn't even touch ground on this portion of your life."
Randy was about to burst as he looked into the mirror. His face was becoming red and the veins were visible in his neck. Randy was going to flip his lid, but once he took a few breaths in and a few breaths out, he then came back to normal. His color faded back to normal and Randy rolled his eyes as he looked back into the mirror. He bit down and the muscles within his jaw they bulged and Randy couldn't even stand the sight.... of himself.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: "Don't you go on talking about dad now."
'the legend killer' RANDY ORTON: "Why not, huh?!"
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: "He's pissed me off and pushed me to limits that I didn't even know existed within myself. He's pissed me off to the point that I don't even know what I'm going to do next. All I know is that I've come to the point where I want to kick him in the skull. I've reached that point of frustration! Do you see this pinned in frustration that I bear?! Do you see it?! You wanted this... you asked for this basically! You wanted to see me angry, you wanted to push my buttons. Well here are my buttons... pushed! You think that I owe him something? Fuck no. He owes me something... he owes me an apology. He called me out, he said that I wasn't a man because I was running away from my problems, he said that I wasn't a man because I left and cheated on Samantha, when he is the biggest hypocrite in the world because I know that he's cheated on my mom a time or two in the past. I know that he was once a two-timer. But no... when it comes to me, I'm lower than dirt. When it comes to me, I'm nothing but absolute scum, whilst he sits there and acts mighty and virtuous. HE IS EVERYTHING BUT! So when he calls me a bad father, he's sadly mistaken. When he calls me a sad excuse for a man, he is wrong! Because within all honesty, I am more man than he ever will be. I hold more testosterone than he could ever even imagine. Does he not know who I am! Does he not know who I truly am?! I'm the man who has witnessed the birth of three of his children, whilst working on a rigorous schedule for work. I am there for my family, I am there to support and care for my family. But when I was a kid, I saw my father, what.... once every other month?"
Randy Orton pauses and he looks further into the mirror seemingly, and he takes a deep breath outward, he wipes down his face with his hand and he stares into the mirror. The blank stare that he beholds. Randy doesn't say anything after that. He sees it best that he just walks away from the situation at hand, and so he does so. But the voices don't go away. They're inside of his head.
'the legend killer' RANDY ORTON: "What made or caused you to believe that you could actually get away from this? Randy... I'm inside of your head, get it through your thick skull that you can't just fade me away just like that. I'm inside of your head, I'm in your thoughts. You can't get rid of me just by walking away. I'm not like your problems with Samantha, you can't walk away from me. Seeing as I'm yourself... that would mean walking away from yourself and who you are! Then again... that wouldn't be too far off from the truth seeing as how you've walked away from this. You've become a sellout! You're someone that you never wanted to be. Someone that is essentially worthless... and Randy I'm going to repeatedly tell you that you're worthless until you get it through your thick skull! YOU'RE NOTHING! Nothing without your father... nothing without your former self... either you change back to old roots and become the bastard that they love to hate, or you hang up the boots, because you're not doing anything but... making a mockery out of the Orton name."
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: "Last time I checked.... this was my life, I'll make the decisions... we're doing things my way! And you just like everyone else, is going to see just exactly what comes of these recent events...."
