The scene opens up with a sight to behold. We see the notorious Maven sitting on a leather couch in a luxurious room. A glass table sits in the middle of the room. A large flat screen television sits against the far side of the room. A leather recliner faces away from the couch. Lit candles are all around the room. Maven is dressed in A pair of black Nike's, a clean pair of light blue rustler jeans and a button up white shirt with the collar unbuttoned. On the table sits an opened bottle of red wine. A glass is half full. Maven picks the glass up and takes a small swig of it. He swallows loudly and sets the glass down. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand. He leans forward with his hands placed on his knees.
Maven: May 16th, 2010 marks my date with destiny. In just three short days I receive what I have worked so hard for. A fair shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Since the very beginning of Thy WWE, I have had nothing but problems. Screw job after screw job. I was so close to the edge and nearly quit on many separate occasions. But then, a light shone through the darkness that engulfed Smackdown. I got my first big win over the former World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle. Then just two short weeks later I lead Team Smackdown to Victory and nearly single handedly won the match by myself. And just last week I defeated Chris Sabin. For nearly a month now I've held and undefeated streak of sorts. No one has been able to dethrone me. But those accolades can be saved for later on during this promo.
In three days I'll step in the devil's playground. A device known to many as the Elimination Chamber. It's 16 tons of unforgiving steel. Two miles of chain surrounding the structure. The Elimination Chamber is one of the most unforgiving structures in the history of professional wrestling. The rules are simple. Two men start the match. And every five minutes another man enters the match. You can win by either pin fall or submission. Once a man is pinned or taps out, he is eliminated from the match and it continues until only one man is left standing. That man will be me. I take on five of the greatest superstars known to man. Jeff Hardy, Mankind, Austin Aries, Alexander Kendall and The Rock will be the other participants. Jeff Hardy is the only one of us who has competed in a elimination chamber prior this. He competed in two and never won.
I will begin with the most illustrious of my opponents, The Rock. You've done everything there is in a professional wrestling ring. You've even been in Hollywood films. You're an icon. But you gave up your career to go make movies which a lot of them were horrible. You made an appearance here and there. But what have you done lately? The Tooth Fairy? Man that was one of the worst films I have ever seen. When you first came back here you defeated me in your debut match. But then I defeated you and your team a few weeks ago. So as of right now we're stale mated. You haven't done anything impressive lately in the ring. I saw your promo and to be honest I was disappointed. You had a lot to say about Mankind but nothing to say about me? What in the hell is going through your head? I am by far the greatest professional wrestler to step into a Smackdown ring in years. Yet you state that Mankind is the only one standing in your way. You have another thing to coming to you bub. You'll be lucky to make it into the ring during the time that I'm in. You wont be much a problem however. You'll be easily disposed of. You're age has taken a toll on you. It won't be long until you feel the wrath of my M-Plosion.
Next we come to a man that made Hardcore history. A man that I once idolized growing up. That man is Mankind. Mrs. Foley's baby boy as Jim Ross would say. Last time anyone heard from you, you got your ass handed to you by Sean Waltman, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Now you make your return to an actually wrestling ring. What a night it will be for you. You actually get to take part in the first ever elimination chamber match that Thy WWE has hosted. You should feel grateful that Vince even sees anything in your washed up ass. You were once a great hardcore legend. Since then you went on to humor everyone and became a laughing stock of the wrestling world. It's pathetic really. I use to look up to you. Now all I can do is look at you with disgust. I'm going to do us all a favor. I will put you out of your misery Mankind. You're an old dirty dog and that's what happens when the dog just lays there. You will also succumb to the madness that is Maven!
I come to Austin Aries. You're nothing to me Aries. You never have been. You had a brief stint in TNA. That was about it for you. You also competed in ROH. Now you want to come to where the big dogs play? You won't last more than a month in Thy WWE. See I'm a proud man and I don't take kindly to punks like you walking up in here thinking you own the place. The truth of the matter is you are nothing more than a stepping stone. You managed to beat Rey Mysterio. Big whoop. Who hasn't beat that jobber? You do have a rather big mouth though. You think you're worthy to be the World Heavyweight champion? Where in hell have you been? You honestly think I'm going to let you stand there and insult MY fans and get away with it. Hell No! The fans came to see ME compete tonight! Not to hear you run your mouth to them. If you want that championship belt, you'll have to get through me first and I know you don't have enough balls to do that boy. I also hear that you proclaimed yourself the greatest man alive. Let me tell you something Aries. A wise man once said "To be the man, you have to beat the man." Right now I am the man. So give it everything you've got son because either way you are not leaving with that belt around your waist.
I come to the charismatic Enigma, Jeff Hardy. Yet another man who has done great things in the past. But now you also have taken the backseat to worthless competitors in TNA. So now you come here in hopes of gold and a new start. One thing you didn't count on is that I would be standing in your way. However, I give the advantage to you. You competed in two elimination chambers a few years back. You know the chamber better than anyone else in this match. Do you have nightmares? Do the horrors come back to you in your dreams? You have been silent since the match was announced. Not one sound has escaped your lips. Are you afraid to step back into the chamber? I believe that you are Hardy. On countless occasions you have put your body on the line. I know it has to have taken a toll on you by now. You can't keep this up forever Jeff. Just call it quits. If you decide to show up on Sunday you will get hurt. I will personally insure that. I will drive your head through the glass, grind your face into the chains. I will show everyone how extreme I can truly be.
And last but not least, we have Alexander Kendall. One of the four men that made up Team Raw. You could not prevent me and Team Smackdown from taking the victory. You failed as a man and a team captain. I led my troops into battle. You led yours to be slaughtered. But of course that is the past. I have a habit of looking back at my accolades and achievements. You're a man of many words. But little talent. You have yet to accomplish anything in your career. I could go on and on with belittling you. But see that is not me. Not anymore. I'm better than that. And more importantly, I'm better than you. The fates have conspired in my favor for once. I have the momentum on my side as well. Nothing will stop me from claiming what is rightfully mine.
Now I could sit here for hours and hours going on about the fact that I'm better than all five of these men, But I don't need to say it. It's a proven fact. The fans know it. I know it. Even Vince finally realizes it. No more will I be pushed around. You've all witnessed the rise of the madness. My madness is spreading throughout the world. New talent is coming to Smackdown just for the honor of facing me. I have the fans backing me. Everyone supports me in this match. I know I won't fail. I will be leaving with the World Heavyweight championship around my waist. I have never been this close as I am right now. Smackdown depends on me to carry the brand. I've been here since day one! No one deserves this more than I do! I have dedicated my life to professional wrestling. I vowed that one day I would carry the World championship and that day is Sunday! I promise each and every one of you watching this at home that I will not let you down!
