After a rather incredible video package promoting the next WWE Pay-Per-View, the live feed continues from the sold out arena in Detroit, Michigan. The camera team catch up with Mike Tenay and Tazz, as they both sit beside each other at the broadcast table, seemingly over-hyped for the event.
Tazz
"Wow! I'll tell you what, man. This Pay-Per-View has been off the charts so far, and I cannot wait for this thing to keep rolling forward!"
Tenay
"Well off the charts may end up being a bit of an understatement later on tonight, Tazz. Because we've got that huge main event!"
Suddenly the lights go out, and the building becomes consumed in darkness. The ambiguous response from the audience fills the air with a buzz that can only be felt at a WWE Pay-Per-View.
Tenay
"What the hell's going on?"
The arena sits in a shroud of black for about 10 seconds before some pink, green and blue lights aim right at the centre of the stage. Some fog creeps across the stage, which has everybody watching on the edge of their seats, and completely speechless.
Suddenly, some soft piano begins to play...
The siren interrupts the soothing sounds of the lone piano, and suddenly a loud boo surfs across the atmosphere, and Austin Aries ascends from a platform underneath the centre of the stage.
A bright pink, fluffy jacket accompanies some expensive looking glasses, and his usual ring gear. He holds his arms out wide and leans his head back as he gets slowly hoisted onto the centre stage, obviously relishing every single reaction from the crowd, no matter how small.
He stands in the eye of everyone watching for a few seconds, before slowly dropping his arms down by his sides, and descending his head back down to its normal level.
Tenay
"Well we shouldn't really be surprised that this guy would decide to make such an overblown entrance here tonight."
Tazz
"What are you talking about? That was pretty damn cool!"
Tenay
"You would say that!"
An extremely arrogant smirk on the face of Austin Aries finds its way onto his always pristine face, as he struts down towards the ring, with a lone spotlight following him as he goes, which flashes pink, green and blue, of course.
Tenay
"This guy has one hell of an attitude problem!"
Tazz
"You're just jealous, Mike, look at that guy! He's a born winner."
Austin marches his way up the ring steps and into the ring, where he once again extends his arms wide, encouraging the hatred which is already being thrown towards him from the crowd. He parades around the ring, and then stands right in the centre, arms still open, head tilted back, as the lights all come back to normal, and his music slowly fades out. His huge grin grows ever-larger, as his music is replaced by clear booing and hatred from the thousands of WWE fans in attendance.
He eventually demands a microphone, removes his shades, and looks around the arena.
Austin Aries
"Detroit, Michigan!"
The crowd jump up and cheer at the mention of their hometown.
Austin Aries
"...What a dump!"
Thunderous boos immediately replace the cheers, as Austin nods his head and continues.
Austin Aries
"I wasn't scheduled to come here until later tonight, when I'm going to win the Elimination Chamber, but I just had to make my way out here and see it for myself. I had to see all of you people for myself!
And I can see it clearly now, and I understand what everyone has always told me, but by the looks of it I shouldn't stay here too long, because it looks like this place is about to collapse in on itself."
A less than flattering "Get the F**k out!" chant emerges out of the crowd, as they make no attempt to hide their true feelings towards Austin Aries.
Aries pauses for a moment and listens to the chant.
Austin Aries
"You people aren't doing yourselves any favors with such bad attitudes, and showing so much disrespect towards the only true icon in the world of professional wrestling today, Austin Aries!
I am the role-model you have all been waiting for! And I would have thought that in this piece of crap of a town, you would understand that more than most people!"
Tenay
"Oh, come on."
Austin Aries
"There are only 3 things that you can be sure about in this life."
Aries holds out his hand, and counts along with his next few words.
Austin Aries
"One. There is a God.
Two. There is only one God.
And three, you are all looking at that God right now!"
Tazz
"Well, that may be a bit much."
The crowd at this point are getting pretty restless, and are refusing to sit down.
Austin Aries
"Maybe I should just leave right now."
A huge cheer engulfs the entire building.
Austin Aries
"But I'm not going to."
And just like that, the boos return.
Austin Aries
"I came out here for a reason. It's because I felt sorry for all of you! And despite your hostile attitudes, I still do. I can look around this arena right now and I can point at every single individual in the crowd and I can see a lost soul; an unfortunate moron who has no hope of accomplishing anything on their own merit; and a born loser. And so that's why I'm here.
I can be your inspiration, just like I am for the rest of the World. Join the rest of this planet as they look towards myself for the answers to all of lifes questions that they either don't have the intelligence, the will, or the drive to achieve themselves.
You people need to join the rest of the civilization and live your dreams and ambitions through me, because you're all too fat, ugly and lazy to capture those dreams for yourself!"
Tenay
"This guy; is he serious?"
Austin Aries
"You people need me to be the symbol of greatness you could never achieve! You all need me to win that Elimination Chamber match later on tonight. And you all need me to be your World Heavyweight Champion!
It is a new dawn here in the WWE, and I am here to fight away the darkness, and to reign over this land with an iron fist, a golden heart, and the desire of a champion!
I will not let you people down! Finally, there will be a worthy champion, and finally you people have a true Icon!
I am the Greatest Man that ever lived! And soon enough, I will be the World Heavyweight Champion!"
Austin's music hits again, as he drops his mic, and ascends his arms into the air, clenching his fists in a celebratory pose. The crowd boo manically until the feed is interrupted by another quick commercial; advertising the latest breakthrough in scientific excellence: Striped Paint.
Tazz
