History: Kensuke is the son of known martial arts grand master Kensuke Marifuji Sr. Kensuke grew up idolizing his father and at an early age decided he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. Marifuji Jr spent his childhood learning in his father’s dojo about martial arts, meditation, and discipline. At the age of 19 Marifuji Sr passed away from a heart attack. Distraught at his father’s passing Kensuke went through a turbulent 2 years, in and out of jail for bar brawls. It was at 22 he found professional wrestling. Kensuke made the decision to honor his father by creating his own legacy in professional wrestling, using the tools he was taught by his mentor. Marifuji splashed on the Japanese wrestling scene, making a name for himself as a rising star despite lack of experience. Now Kensuke looks to make an impact stateside.

Character’s heritage (How do they feel about their name? Is there any story behind the name—family, etc.? Nicknames,ect?) Kensuke Marifuji Sr named his son Jr as a rememberance of his legacy. His children were his legacy to him. Marifuji Jr feels honored to carry on his father’s name and accepts the nickname the Prodigy as a challenge to be the best he can be, mind, body, and soul.
Appearance (How would the character describe him or herself, and how would s/he be described by others? What is their style, and is it important to them? Marifuji is confident but not cocky. He does not believe in belittling people to achieve a mental victory of his opponents, rather defeat them with his skill and strong mind and will.
Movements, gestures, facial expressions (How would the character walk, run, enter a restaurant? React to a bore at a party? Receive a piece of bad news?) Marifuji often uses a Karate style stance. He walks with purpose and a confident swagger. He often tries to be polite to those around him.
What they do before they Came To Thy WWE? ( Occupation/Job)? Did they love it or hate it, and why?) Martial Arts instructor at his father’s Dojo.
What they own (Favorite possession? 100 pairs of shoes? Fancy car, horse-drawn carriage, ect.?) His favorite possession is the dragon necklace his father gave him after graduating from the dojo, which happened to be on his 18th birthday, one year before his father’s passing. He owns a black leather jacket with prodigy sewed on the back.
Hobbies (What do they do for fun? Do they have time to have fun?) Kensuke grew up watching old Kung Fu movies. Bruce Lee was his favorite movie star. Marifuji likes to meditate in his spare time. Kensuke is a very outgoing person.
