Attended Missouri Universe while wrestling full time on the indies in 2005 he graduated with a bachelor's degree in business and marketing at Missouri University.
While training in GCW he attended Parkway High school and was a good student enough to be able to skip his last period class and go to work at Scoops ice cream which paid for wrestling school afterwards.
