CM Punk: What a mistake my made... To this day, I am the biggest star ever to grace Ring of Honor. I had my eyes on the target, and my heart and soul poured on the business. Talent, Discipline and Resiliency took me where I am today... But you see... I left a cursed legacy back then. Ever since I left ROH to conquer the world, a bunch of kids got their hopes up... He shrugged.
CM Punk: Watching the world kneel before a scrawny kid from Chicago sure inspired a lot of people... Sadly, I must right that wrong right now. There is absolutely no way an ROH wrestler or any other human being, can reproduce, match or surpass CM Punk's rise to stardom. That is why so many have crashed and burn, that is why so many are still wrestling for peanuts in CHIKARA and Thy WWE because there is and always be only one CM Punk. Jay Briscoe was apparently one of the many called to pick up my legacy and reproduce my success... How's that worked for ya so far Troy.
Punk tilted his head to one side.

You could say that the only advantage Troy and Layota has on me before our match is that their teeth -the ones I was going to knock out with the GTS- are already missing; However, that doesn't mean I cannot think of new, fun ways to make you writhe in pain, beg for my forgiveness and plead for me to stop...
