Oppression: Beno vs Robert Saints

The scene opens at Best Buy where Thy WWE Superstar Robert Saints and other wrestlers are there for the meet and greet event before tonight's show at the Barclay's Center where live on Pay Per View entitled Oppression 2016, Robert Saints will be going one on one with Beno. Robert Saints is sitting at his table as he enjoys the smiling faces of The Saints Army who has brought photos, t-shirts and other merchandise for him to sign besides getting their picture with Robert or their photo taken with him. The line for Robert Saints is the longest that it continues outside the store and around the block.

Robert Saints: Beno, you got lucky against me in our match last week on Raw is War. You might think that you're going to get away with the easy win tonight on Oppression but that's going to be the further that the truth because I'm going to take you to the limit. You like to get into your opponent's mind before the match but that's not going to be happening with me because I'm a fourth generation superstar so I have learned a lot of the tricks that other wrestler uses to get into their opponent's head by watching my father, grandfather and great grandfather's matches in this business. You don't seem to understand me that the blood that runs through my veins gives me an edge over my opponents because I am something greater than just myself as I represent my entire family, The Saints Family. I call my fans, The Saints Army because only together as an Army will we make the changes that need to be done here in Thy WWE. Beno, you're from that old mentality where the big guys get over and the smaller guys are pushed down until they either quit or fight back. I'm a small guy who is going to fight back as much as I can every time I step foot into that ring. Tonight, The Viper is going to destroy you in the middle of that ring whether you like it or not.

Robert gets up from his table and stands next to a cut out of his as the fans come on the other side so that the fans are in the middle between the cut out of Robert Saints and the real Robert Saints as their pictures is taken. Robert shakes a few fans's hands and signs autographs as well.

Robert Saints: Beno, I might not have a lengthy career here in Thy WWE like you do but that's not going to stop me from getting by in this business. I have been a world champion in other companies that I worked for so that's not going to change now that here. I'm going to become a champion here and if I have to go through you in order to get that opportunity at the championship then so be it. Whether you care or not, I'm the future of this business and I'm going to be the one that's going to be getting the chances and opportunities for the championships here in Thy WWE but if you think that you're going to stop me from reaching the prominence here then you better bring your best tonight when we're in that ring beause I'm not going to hold anything against you. I'm no one's stepping stone and if you think that I'm going to lie down for you or anyone in this business then you're sadly mistaken. I am a fighter who never gives up no matter the opposition against me, I don't care who is my opponent or how many they might be against me because I'll keep getting up until I'm unable to get back onto my feet. Then I'm going to scratch and claw on my hands and knees and prove to the fans that I'm worthy of their respect and admiration and after tonight we'll see exactly how much respect exists between the two of us.

Robert now sits down at his table as he takes a break from the fans to catch his breathe and drinks some water before continuing to meet his fans, The Saints Army!

Robert Saints: Beno, you can leave and come back as much as you want but in the end, the fans will always remember the wrestlers that never left or turned their backs on the fans so if you actually think that after tonight you're going to be the top guy around here then I'm just going to have to burst your personal bubble tonight in our match. I'm not a bad guy but if you push my buttons then I'm going to strike you down with everything in my being and you need to remember one thing, my “Viper Cutter” can strike out of nowhere and I'll leave you as the one lying in a pool of his own blood. I'm not going to cheat to beat you but I might bend the rules a bit in order to get them to help me out in our match tonight. Don't underestimate me Beno, that's the stupidest mistake that you can make against me coming into tonight's match.

Robert finishes up the last of his fans as the Best Buy is now closing up for the night as Robert and the other wrestlers are now leaving the Best Buy heading for the Barclay's Center nearby for the show tonight where Robert Saints will be facing off against Beno at Oppression live on Pay Per View.

Robert Saints: Last but not least I hope the fans that are in attendance tonight and those watching around the world on the Thy WWE App or on Pay Per View really enjoy tonight's card because it's the best talent in one company showing their talents in that ring for the fans because without the fans, none of us would be here and none of us would be getting paid for doing what we love and that's to wrestle in front of this sold-out crowd and the millions watching around the world.

Robert jumps into his car and then heads for the Barclay's Center as the scene fades to black.

As the scene opens up, We're greeted to a view of a well lit room. Glass cabinets line all four walls. Above them various banners hang. Various Plaques, trophies, championship belts and memorbilia occupy the inside of the cabinets. In the center of the room stands a golden statue. The statue depicts Beno holding the legendary sword Excalibur high in the air. On each side of the statue stands a glass case with parchment inside of them. On the left sits the origina charge given to the Knights of The Round Table. It Reads:

God make you a good man and fail not of beauty. The Round Table was founded in patience, humility, and meekness.Thou art never to do outrageousity, nor murder, and always to flee treason, by no means to be cruel, and always to do ladies, damosels, and gentle women succour. Also, to take no battles in a wrongful quarrel for no law nor for no world's goods.

Thou shouldst be for all ladies and fight for their quarrels, and ever be courteous and never refuse mercy to him that asketh mercy, for a knight that is courteous and kind and gentle has favor in every place. Thou shouldst never hold a lady or gentle woman against her will.

Thou must keep thy word to all and not be feeble of good believeth and faith. Right must be defended against might and distress must be protected. Thou must know good from evil and the vain glory of the world, because great pride and bobauce maketh great sorrow. Should anyone require ye of any quest so that it is not to thy shame, thou shouldst fulfil the desire.

Ever it is a worshipful knights deed to help another worshipful knight when he seeth him a great danger, for ever a worshipful man should loath to see a worshipful man shamed, for it is only he that is of no worship and who faireth with cowardice that shall never show gentleness or no manner of goodness where he seeth a man in any danger, but always a good man will do another man as he would have done to himself.

It should never be said that a small brother has injured or slain another brother. Thou shouldst not fail in these things: charity, abstinence and truth. A pair of polished oak doors swing open. Dressed in a fine suit steps out Beno. The sound of his foot steps create a slight echo as he approaches the list of names. For a moment, Beno blankly stares. In turn disappointment, anger, frustration and understanding can be seen in his face. A single tear slides down his right cheek. He inhales deeply and slowly exhales.

January 30th, 2011. The date will forever be etched in the history books as the day that Thy WWE was shaken to it's very core. It was on that date that I made my long awaited debut at the very first Oppression. And on that day, I went to war with four other competitors. Sting, The Rock, The Pelican and Ultramantis Black. I shined brighter than any star in the sky ever could that night. My hand was raised in victory. And Thy WWE was never quite the same. I went on to have a hall of fame career. And those guys? They all ended up in obscurity. They're either competing in minor companies or have hung up their boots for good. And it was a because of me.

Beno points to all of the cabinets filled with treasures in turn.

Do you see all of this Robert? Everything I've ever won throughout my long travels are in these cabinets. Championship belts, trophies, you name it. It's all here. I've added a piece of hardware everywhere that I've competed. I accomplished everything there is to do in this business. But do you understand why I'm showing you all of this? Why It may seem as though I'm bolstering my own ego? None of these matter anymore. It doesn't matter to me or anyone else if you've held gold in other companies. No one gives two shits if you've been the top dog elsewhere. The fact remains that you have never accomplished a single thing in your short time here in Thy WWE. Do you honestly think you can hold onto whatever mediocre success you had in the past? That type of thinking is going to get you nowhere in life. Time after time you bring up the fact that you're a fourth generation wrestler. And as I recently told you, no one remembers anyone that came before you. Your so called legacy doesn't exist. For all we know, your father could've been a sanitation worker. Your grandfather could've dug ditches for a living. And your great grandfather could've worked at the New York Times. You rely on your families legacy to get you places. That isn't how it works here kid.

You want to make a name for yourself? You want to represent this company and carry the championship? Then you have to work for it. You need to bleed for this shit hole of a company. Work your ass off and show the world what you're truly made of. Something that you haven't been able to do yet. The fact that you made the show and get to compete is probably the greatest thing to happen to you. But it won't matter in a months time. Because it'll be in the past. None of this will matter in the end.

he runs his fingers through his thick beard for a moment. He absentmindedly scratches his chin.

I know exactly who you are Robert. i can see through your charade. You put all of this energy into acting like you're the future. That the fans love you. I was as naive as you currently are once. I thought the fans loved me. I wanted them to. I craved their approval. But you'll learn just as I did that all of these so called fans are fickle. They move onto the next guy as soon as you start doing things your way. They turn on you like a pack of wild starving dogs. Then you truly see them for how they are. Sheep. Nothing more than sheep Robert. You're merely the current trend. "Saints Army." That's a good one. You want to talk about an army? I'm the mother fucking King of Camelot! The men that serve under me... that's an army. Your army is a bunch of overweight sheep.

I see through your false bravado. I believe you said something along the lines of you're going to destroy me. You aren't the first to make that claim and you certainly won't be the last. Superstars greater than yourself have tried and failed. Kurt Orton, Jacob Senn, Bob Cena, Stalker Knight, Bret Hart. They all tried to topple me and they all failed. You'll fair no better than they did.

Beno unbuttons his coat slowly. He removes it and places in on the freshly swept stone floor.

Allow me to explain something to you Robert. Wrestling is a job to me. Nothing more. This isn't what my life is about anymore. I've gone on to do greater things since I last left this company. I wrote an autobiography. I've traveled the world and seen many many things that most can only dream about. I have enough money invested and saved up for me and my family to live comfortably for the rest of our lives. I'm not here to bury you or anyone else. If that were the case, you wouldn't be competing at Oppression. No I'm here simply because I'm obligated to compete from time to time. I don't need to be the top guy around here. In fact, i have no intention of that happening again. I'm not going to be sucked back into the life. You on the other hand want this more than anything for some god forsaken reason. Maybe you just want to prove to your family that you aren't a failure. Or prove to yourself that you won't end up like they did. You hate the fact that I come and go as I please and everyone remembers who I am and what I've done. And it frightens you that this may be your only shot. And if you blow this, no one will give a damn about you.

Have I hit a nerve yet Robert? I really hope so. This is exactly what you need at this point. You need to be angry. You need to be willing to give everything you've got against your opponent and then give 100% more. You're going to try and give the fans what they want and that right there is going to lead to your down fall. This isn't the time to impress some overweight ten year old in the audience. The first time you slip will be the time that you fall. And I can ensure you that you will not be getting back up.

Beno adjusts his black tie and tightens it a bit. He proceeds to run his left hand over the top of his head.

None of this is about old blood versus new blood. If I wanted a shot at a title, I could have it with a snap of my fingers. But i chose not to. So in all aspects, you should be thanking me you ungrateful little prick. Thanking me for not pushing you back into obscurity while I bathe in the spotlight. Why do you think I took the job on commentary? So punks like you can have a shot in this company. But do go on and assume that I'm only here to be "the guy." The respect you crave so much isn't coming your way anytime soon.

Beno picks up his coat off of the ground and puts it back on.

Now let's talk about respect. You have to earn respect. It isn't freely given to someone who hasn't done a damn thing for it. Do you think guys like Blade LaVigne and Joey The Bastard started off here and expected people to respect them. No! They had to fight for it. After years in the business of paying their dues, they were finally respected by their peers and fans alike. That's how you earn respect Robert. Not by winning matches and not by winning championship gold. And certainly not by signing autographs at a Best Buy.

At the end of the day I'm not the good guy or the bad guy. I'm just me. I fight hard and love harder. I'm a man of my word. I'm a father and husband first and a king and competitor second. This is your chance to define who you are. Don't waste it.

The scene ends as Beno walks through the doors as they shut behind him. The lights flicker off.

Match Two: Beno vs Robert Saints

The One and Only Beno is back in Thy WWE, and makes his return to pay-per-view. His opponent is Robert Saints. The only one who really put up a fight last week against Beno in a handicap match. Robert Saints proved that he has potential to be a star in Thy WWE, and at Oppression, he'll get a chance to prove it again in an earned one on one match against a former World Champion in Beno, the self-proclaimed King of Thy WWE. Can Robert Saints continue to impress? Or, will Beno completely and outright destroy him? Robert Saints will have to put on the performance of his career. But, was Beno's dominance last week just a fluke? Will Beno fizzle out against the younger, faster opponent in Robert Saints? Or, will Beno's experience prove to be too much for Robert Saints to handle?
