"Just play nice, Joey was nice enough to invite us over for dinner, the least you can do is be civil with him."
Bob continued to drive the car to the restaurant that Joey had picked for the three of them to have dinner together. He and Joey had grown to have a kind of love-hate relationship, in that they were like brothers, but their competitive nature had strained their friendship. He was confused as to why Nicole was so excited about tonight, she never really liked Joey herself, and had preffered to stay at home since the baby was due in a couple of weeks so she found it uncomfortable when she went out. Bob pulled up outside of the NAOE restaurant, which had been highly regarded by almost everybody around Miami. Bob had never tried sushi before but guessed that it was now or never. He scanned the parking lot and seen Joey waiting by the door wearing something which really took Bob by surprise.
"Is...is he wearing a suit?"
Bob stepped out of the car, then helped Nicole out of her side before once again going back to staring in disbelief at his friend.
"Hey whatsup how's my favourite couple doing tonight?"
"Hi, its so nice to finally get to spend some time with one of Bob's work friends."
"I know right! Its like Bob has been hiding you from us, lets go inside."
Joey led the two inside as Bob was still in disbelief, this wasnt the nasty, cruel bastard that audiences around the world hated with a passion, this was like a new man, a softspoken and caring person that nobody had ever seen before. Joey had already picked out a table for the three of them, pulled out Nicole's chair and allowed her to sit down before taking his seat across the table.
"Erm waiter, may we have 3 menus please?"
The waiter immediately responded to Joey's request, bringing menus over instantly and Bob looked at the food on offer, almost uninterested as he had never heard of any of it before.
"So I guess you both are wondering why I invited you here, I want to get close to my friends and I know I've been a bit of a jackass lately with all this Vince stuff, but I want you to know that I'm not that power crazy guy that I have been for the last few months."
Bob didnt believe Joey but he wanted to, he really wanted to believe that Joey was going to change but he would have to see it to believe it.
"And you always talk about how great this lovely lady is and I want to be able to get to know the personal side of you Bob, the real you."
Bob seemed hesititant but as the night went on they started to have some more fun and after around 3 hours, Bob and Nicole decided it was time for them to head home to get some sleep.
"Aw you guys stay here, I'm gonna head to the bar for a few drinks, have a safe trip!"
Joey walked them to their car and waved as they drove off.
"That was nice, we should meet up with Joey more often."
"Yeah, it was surprisingly fun, maybe after the baby comes we can do something again."
SCENE TWO
Bob sat in gorilla watching as the show went on, stretching and preparing for his match against Mr Money in the Bank, Robert Garrett, when he suddenly heard a commotion from down the hallway.
"What the fuck?"
Bob followed the noise to see Joey berating an intern in front of a crowd of people.
"I asked you for a bottle of water 15 fucking minutes ago, 15! Where the fuck did you go? Catering is just right down there, its not in the next fucking state. Do you know who I am? I am the fucking franchise player of this fucking show right now, nobody can touch me, not Blade LaVigne, not Zak Shields and not some stupid fucking intern! Where did they fucking find you you fucking retard?"
Bob walked over and pushed Joey away from the scene as the teenage intern was verging on tears after the humiliating ball breaking she just suffered from Joey.
"Dude what the fuck? Whatever happened to the new Joey?"
"Sorry man I know, it was a mistake I'm just so frustrated right now, just you go and do your thing, I'll be rooting for you."
Bob walked off shaking his head knowing that Joey hadnt changed, but he was confused as to why pretend, why pretend to be something he's not when Bob had already accepted his douchebag self when suddenly he heard something crash at a wall. He turned to see Joey in the intern's face again.
