We all know that Zak has had his fair share of trials and tribulations over his lifetime. Lets take a recap of the life of our International Champion. By the time he was 10 Zak had more broken bones then he could count by the hands of his brutal father Mike. Zak would witness on a daily basis his old man beating his mother and older sister. Vicky his older sister would go missing on regular occurrences trying to flee the family but would soon turn up with the police who would do nothing but return her and be on their way. Mike was a man who could control people in a way that no one could understand he could talk his way out of anything and sell ice to an Eskimo. When he was 16 Zak took it upon himself to try and join the British armed forces to try and escape the hell hole at home. Even though he passed everything the army threw at him he never made it to basic training due to his poor attitude. He thought his life was over, miles from home and no one to help him he joined up with a team of wrestlers and his life took a complete turn for the best. But unbeknown to Zak while he was touring Europe with the United Kingdom Extreme Wrestling Mike took his anger out on Zak's mother for the final time and ended her life. Zak wouldn't find out for months to come nor did he ever manage to attend the funeral. Mike is currently serving a full life sentence in prison. Zak's sister, Vicky, would go on to marry and divorce in less than 18 months and have a son, Zak's nephew and biggest fan Daniel. Zak found fame in UKEW and rose to the top as a well loved face who always used his brute strength to help others and gain momentum. One faithful night Zak was offered a contract with THY WWE and he accepted with haste. Zak came to THY and he flopped with the crowd for being British, His biggest achievement was beating Kane in a street fight but this still wasn't enough to capture the hearts of the crowd. THY sent him to Japan and the rest as they say is history. The man we know today is still a man with a big heart but still with a drink inside him he can get a big rowdy. He is currently under watch and after his fight in the bar he is on is final warning with the courts. Sophie, His wife hasn't been seen in THY for sometime and recently given birth to her and Zak's son, James. Zak has had ups and downs in his life and its about time he shot up and stayed there for good. Zak Shields is here to stay he wants everyone to know that.
The room is dark and warm as Zak and Sophie lay in bed. The Moses basket at the end of the bed where James lays asleep is fitted out in blue colours and a stitching of 'mini brawler' on the side. The full moon shines through a small gap in the curtains as Sophie rolls over and places her arm over Zak. Zak holds her arm as he kisses hos wife on the forehead as he lays next to her. Not long later little James begins to cry. Zak looks at his clock it reads 03:39. Zak sits up as Sophie rolls back to her side. Zak gets out of bed and he walks to the Moses basket and he picks up his son who instantly stops crying. Zak holds him close into his body as he looks down and kisses his son.
Zak Shields – Hey little guy. You hungry I suppose.
James stretches in his dads arms as he grunts and groans.
Zak Shields – I'll take that as a yes.
Zak holds James in one arm as he opens a flask of warm water and he pours 2 ounces into a bottle and then he then adds the powder and gives a good shake. Zak walks back over to the bed and he sits down with his back on the headboard and he rests James head into the crock of his elbow and he places the teat into James mouth as James goes to town on his bottle.
Zak Shields – You know little man I was really scared for you turning up. I had no idea what I was doing. All my life I've only known about violence but this last week as been great and I've learnt more from you than I have in my whole life. Patience is all you need, right little man? Look at me as if you can understand me.
Just then Sophie rolls over.
Sophie Shields – He does understand you Zak. He recognises your voice. That's why he's happy when you pick him up.
Zak Shields – Sorry babes. Didn't mean to wake you up. Go back to sleep.
Sophie rolls back over and tries to sleep.
Zak Shields – See little man I'm still learning. But don't worry little guy. I'm going to teach you some words that have always had true meaning to me that I live my life by. For those I love, I will sacrifice. It means that no matter what I will always put those I love before myself. I will always make sure you are happy before myself. You and your mother will always be able to rely on me James. I will never et you down.
James by now has finished his bottle and Zak puts the empty bottle on his bedside table. Zak places James on his shoulder and he starts to pat his back very gently and rubbing his back in a rhythm. Suddenly James lets out an almighty burp. Zak brings him down slowly as James has a huge smile on his face. Zak smiles back and he kisses James on his cheek. Zak cradles James in as he stands up and takes him back to his Moses basket. James falls straight back to sleep as Zak climbs back into bed.
We see Zak stood in the middle of his locker room with a camera crew but no Burris Troy, Zak is wearing his ring attire and his British Brawler hoodie on with the hood up with the International Title around his waist. The light on the camera goes green and the camera crew point as Zak to start. Zak takes a deep breathe.
Zak Shields – Apologises are thrown around these days like they have no meaning. Politicians use them to gain more votes, love rats use them to try and get another chance with their spouse. I am here today to apologise to you all. Vince McMahon, The boys in the back, The THY Universe and most of all my wife and my son at at home tonight. A few months ago I made the biggest decision of my life. I was approached by a certain someone to join the radical group New Age! When I first joined them they promised a change, a change that would be for the best. We took out those who seemed to no longer be needed any more. But then the mad man Joey the Bastard decided to take things further. We destroyed the set and we took over THY shows and we basically tried to ruin the whole show. I became someone I'm not. I became a man hell bent on ruining something that I love and that saved my life and my career. My wife left me to go live with her parents and I hit an all time low. The fans hated me and I wasn't the man I wanted to be. I started to see my father in the mirror every time I looked and to be honest it scared me. I was scared that I was becoming my father and that my son would grow up like I did, in fear. Fear ran in my family and I don't want that for my new family, for my wife and my son. So today I turn over a new leaf and this is why I'm asking you all for forgiveness. Every bad thing I did or helped do in the past few months from attacking my former ally to not stopping JTB at the Hall of Fame show I ask you all for forgiveness.
Zak looks humbled as he takes off his hood to revel a few bruises from his attackers at WrestleMania.
Zak Shields – The New Age decided that I was no longer needed as a part of their family. They took it upon themselves to show me the door. Why? I hear you asking. Its simple, no matter what they say the gods honest truth is that they were jealous of my success. I was the only member to hold gold in the entire group with Bob Cena failing to take the World Heavyweight Championship from Blade who wouldn't be jealous of me. Joey the Bastard lost sight of the New Age's objectives of making THY a better place for us all. But he lost sight of that and brainwashed me to do his bidding of taking out his enemies. New Age, I will not forget your treachery. Your time will come.
Zak walks back and forth running his hand through his hair. He stops and he looks back at the camera.
Zak Shields – Tonight I face an adversary close to my heart. A woman who isn't afraid to face me in the ring. Demmie Mae we have danced this dance may times before and you won your chance to face me for my title. But lets not forget that you never won it on your own merit. Tonight Bret Hart wont be there to help you out. Tonight what I do to you in the ring will be the end. I have to give you some respect yo are a Hall of Famer just like myself but you never truly earned that either. Demmie last time we went toe to toe I wasn't my usual self, I was a monster of a man hell bent on destroying you and your quest to be the best. I only saw red the last time we met in the ring and if it wasn't for Bret you may be dead right now. But for this as ask for your forgiveness as I have asked everyone else to forgive me. Tonight it isn't about how bad I beat you its about walking out of the arena with my arms in the air and My title around my waist. And when I'm done I and the International Championship is secured in my presence, I will turn my attention to bigger things. BLADE LAVINGE, You have held that World Heavyweight Championship far to long without a true challenger. Bob Cena tried twice and he failed, Kurt Orton outlasted 29 other men and he won his chance to take you on and WrestleMania and he did the unthinkable and he beat you in the ring. But then you did what you had to do to protect your legacy, You cashed in your money in the back contract and you got your title back. Now is my time to strike, Now you have no trump card and I'm here to lay down the gauntlet. I'm clearly the only man worth facing you for the title now. Just look at me. The longest ever Television Champion, The first ever Dual Champion when I won the Intercontinental Championship. And now the first and only International Champion. Blade I know we have a common enemy with the New Age but don't forget that target is on your back and I'm the only one with a drawn arrow.
Zak stops and he collects his thoughts. He then looks to the sky and adjusts his title. He stops and looks back at the camera.
Zak Shields – Demmie Mae this is your last chance to make it here on THY, You strut around here calling yourself the Queen Bitch or Bee or whatever but you never really proved it. Demmie I'm not going to lay down and give you your chance at making real history. You have to earn it just like myself. I'm a made man and I'm not afraid to tell the world the truth. My life, My time and my world is all together and Demmie Mae you are not going to get in my way.
Zak takes a deep breathe.
Zak Shields – For those I love, I will sacrifice!
Zak places his hood over his head and he turns away from the camera as the camera fades into black.
