History:
mid 90s- backyard wrestling, highschool wrestling team freshman year, bought himself a trampoline at 13 using his bar mitzvah money and self taught himself gymnastics, he worked enthusiastically in spanish class to become fluent because of his hopes to be a jobber in mexico.

2000-2003- trained and became pro, he became pro one year under legal age as the only wrestler in Missouri to do that, besides Delirious who is an ROH trainer and booker and Daphney who is a great female indie wrestler, Matt is the alumni from Gateway championship wrestling( a wrestling show/school that had a cable access TV show) to make it to WWE.

2004-2007
Matt was apart of the veterans on the indies nowadays. Prior to them it was the likes of Jericho, Guerrero, Rey Mysterio Jr who paved the way for them, Matt's group was midsouth guys such as CM Punk & Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins.
From a jobber on TNA to a respected technician and tag team champion in ROH. He fit in the best in Japan with his hybrid style.

2008-2013
2008 he arrived as a 25 year old with 8 years experience and he impressed everyone with his technical prowess, cruiserweight manuavers and very educated feet. He quickly earned the respect of many veterans and even the top name in WWE John Cena had strong positive opinions on him, but the invasion of Nexus darkened his days in the limelight where left the lower main event with tag team victories over Edge, a main event raw victory alongside John Cena, and two wins(including a PPV victory) over Chris Jericho. He would later show off his knack for upstaging world champions when he beat former world champion and rival since ECW 2009 Jack Swagger in 2011.

Evan went on to team up with Kofi Kingston, a man who he befriended early in WWE and even tagged with in his WWE debut, they even had feuded with Legacy in 2009 but it wasn't until 2011 when they beat former nexus members David Otunga and the man currently known as Curtis Axel.  They were flying high both in spirit and in success, with a 5 month reign but Evan also got high in a different way, a couple times and his comeback was stopped by a freak accident on his motorcycle that gave him a  career ending injury to his feet.

WWE was nice to enough to let him fully heal and he recovered defeating all odds again, when he was released they gave him a WWE Network prescription for FREE and still talk about him in a positive way.

WWE marketed Evan Bourne as just a highflier when he was and is more than that in ring fighting style wise.
Evan Bourne's win loss record in WWE is 89 wins and 77 losses.

Evan Bourne's first match in ECW June 3rd 2008 on came with an impressive showing but a loss nonetheless to Shelton Benjamin and his last match March 28th 2013, was a victory over the newly debuted Sami Zayne at NXT.

Character’s heritage
- Matt grew up in a Jewish family, he's more spiritual in new age hippie lifestyle including meditation, trips to peru for spiritual journeys with legal nature based psychedelics. He's had reputation with marijuana long before he was in WWE. Family wise he's stated recently that he although he grew up in a family with parents big on education(both college professors) they were pretty lose, for example they would allow him to dye his hair blue and his dad along with his neighbor friends built a wrestling ring in the backyard and was supportive of the pro wrestling stuff since the backyard wrestling days. He is known for his politeness which he explains is just common in the midsouth, if you're car breaks down people would help you, and people are just nicer genuine folk in the mid-south.






Appearance
- for years Matt was clean cut, he was a bit of a geek in school, he wears glasses but now since he was reborn, he grew his hair out and facial hair. Matt was just 5 feet tall as a freshman in highschool now he's five foot nine.
Matt is a bit more muscular than he was in WWE, in WWE he was between 165 to 185 pounds, now he can weigh in at 195 pounds.

He has boyish looks, he can pass for early college age even though he's 32. He's small for a wrestler and was small growing up but is average american male size today, he is actually what a middle weight MMA fighters look like.

- he has a mom and a dad, a younger brother and two other brothers, I can't tell if he is the eldest or the middle child, but he and his younger bro are wrestlers.  Just like how Jericho, Mysterio, the Guerreros etc were friends , he has the same relationship with his generation of guys including Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayne. 

When he went to WWE he was an 8 year veteran in the biz and only 25 years old, he was very respectful and earned the respect of his childhood idols in Jamie Noble, Kidman, even his most favorite wrestler growing up Rey Mysterio who he got to tag team with and face three times, two on TV and once in Japan at a house show. Names such as Mick Foley, Steamboat and Bret Hart had nice things to say about him, even long time rival Miz has called him " WWE's superman".

in 2010 John Cena vouched for him to be in the main event which he was back during Fatal fourway and MITB 2010 timeline, and even tag teamed with Cena in the main event of raw and on house shows. He even defeated 9 time IC champion and former undisputed champ Chris Jericho two times, once on PPV both clean. 

The only time he ever had heat was the time around his suspensions but for 4 years in WWE and even on the indies he had a fantastic reputation. He was able to use a finisher that was once banned and was super protected, plus he was the trainer for Floyd Mayweather to teach him how to bump for his match with big show at wrestlemania.

promos like most of his inspirations. He's a great speaker from a business standpoint, he has a bachelor's degree in business and marketing and in 2010 he was sent to Brazil all by himself to verbally promote WWE Raw being on TV there for the first time.)

strength wise, he's one of the best wrestlers in the world from an in ring standpoint, he was a natural ever since he started as a backyard wrestler at 13 and now at 32 is one of the best in ring workers today. Although in WWE he could not pull of the power moves in his HUGE arsenal, he still showed off his sound ground technical skills, fearless but never reckless aerial abilities and VERY educated feet. His style and impact in WWE has opened the door for the likes of Neville and Sami Zayne on NXT, because he was doing that stuff on WWE-ECW.

What makes them feel guilty? his suspensions, it ended up fine in the end and he still has good terms with WWE but imagine being a goody-2 shoes for four years, all veterans liking you, having no heat in a business and company where you can burned daily( just read JTG's book or look at CM Punk's troubles or what Miz experienced.) but to disappoint Triple H a guy he was actually supportive of you.

 it sounds corny but t it's serious: Pro wrestling.

- Matt does not believe in the main event needing to be the last match like cm punk did for example, many times he's put on matches that outshined the main event but he does NOT want to be pigeon held into a "mechanic' role, he's proven himself by beating veterans( and solid in ring technicians) such as Chavo Guerrero & Jamie Noble but he's also defeated former world champions such as Sheamus, Edge( in tag team matches only), Jericho, Jack Swagger.

- bullies and bad grammar.
