The lights in the arena snap to black as ‘Save Us’ begins to echo over the PA.
“Does anyone care?”
The song picks up tempo as the scattered boos and cheers greet Bishop, who is walking from the back to the stage with his dreads over his face, his hands in front of him cupped in prayer. The song begins to scream:
“DOES ANYONE CARE ABOUT YOUR FELLOW MAN?!”
His head rises, sending his dreads to the back as he picks up his pace, walking confidently down the ramp. Bishop ignores the crowd, looking determined and focused on the ring. Climbing to the top rope he takes his hand and touches the black cross on his face before making a cross gesture with his hand over his torso, forehead, and shoulders. His enters the ring and walks over to his corner, prepared for victory.
History: A delinquent, Bishop, born Garrett Monroe, was both partner and victim to his brother’s psychopathic crimes. Eventually committing unspeakable acts himself, Garrett decided to leave his brothers grasp. Going to the arms of the Pentecostal Church, a leader with the congregation had a vision of Garrett, leading the Pentecostal to eliminate sin from Earth. Flying him to the Pentecostal birthplace, Garrett began his training to become: Bishop, a weapon against sin. Fighting fire with fire, Bishop set his sights on what the church saw as a celebration of sin...the wrestling industry.
