The scene opens up in a hospital ward in Miami, Florida. We see a camera placed on a tripod, facing an empty bed, with a chart attached to the bottom of it. We can see an x-ray of an arm on the chart as the camera zooms in on it. Suddenly, we hear the sound of fingers clicking and a sole voice cutting through the air.
"Attention! Attention! Attention!"
The camera is picked up and spun around to reveal the face of Bob Cena....brusied, swollen, cut, covered in battle wounds that he would live with forever as a result of the beating he took from Blade LaVigne at Oppression. Bob had been in to visit the hospital for a check up on his right arm, the usual trouble maker, after Monday Night Raw as he was carrying a little knock in it. Bob is wearing a black, zipped up hoodie with the hood up, which partly hides the his wounds. He stares vacantly in to the camera for a few moments before he opens his mouth to speak.
"Good news, I'm still alive. I'm healed, I'm ready to fight. Last week, I felt the cold sting of defeat, I failed in my attempt to take what I believe belongs to me.....I ended up here, in this hospital ward, unconscious, unaware of what even took place that led to my demise. Blade did everything to me, he made my life hell inside of that cell....But if you think for one second Blade, that your little beating, is going to deter me and my brothers from destroying you and everything that you stand for, well then Blade, you're not as smart as you think you are. I just have one question for you Blade....."
Bob takes his hood down and shows his battered face in the light, letting out a small chuckle as he does so.
"Is that all you got? Is that all that you can bring to the table? Sure you can beat me once, you can beat me twice, you can beat me as many times as you want, just know this.....You're never going to keep me down. I quite like it, I like the feeling of having my blood splatter all over the mat, I love it when I get smashed with a steel chair, I truly never get tired of it.....because it makes me feel alive, and I just love to feel alive......Now this Monday, ThyWWE management has booked me in a match with a man they call Rain. Now I heard everything that Rain said about me...well not really about me, moreso about Zak Shields. You see, Rain has disrespected me, he barely even mentioned in that little promo. It seems like he's got other cats on his radar, well I'm warning you, you better take me seriously Rain, you're concentrating on the Hollywood Hills while you've got Kilamanjaro staring you right in the face.....Listen, I understand that you are new around here so I'm gonna let you in on a little fact, when I get into the ring, I dont fight for greed. I dont fight to live up to some corny nickname Mr "Phenom".....What I want, what I fight for and what I have earned is the respect of each and other every man, woman and child who has had the pleasure of watching the true best in the world in action. I heard Rain talking about the future of this company, or should I say, the fantasy in Rain's head. He likes to think that not only will he be the World Heavyweight Champion, an accolade I have already added to my collection. But Rain also thinks that in the near future, he will be given a shot at Zak Shields for the Intercontinental and Television Championships. Listen Rain, I hate to break it to you, but you've had one match....and you lost....to the man you want to challenge, Zak Shields. I'd be less worried about getting a match with Zak Shields and more worried about your position in this company if you once again fail on Raw.
Bob chuckles down the camera as he takes a brief break from his promo.
"You may be dreaming of the future but I know where my path leads, I know where I'm heading; to the very top of this industry. No, I'm not talking about the Hall of Fame because that is all set in stone, that is 100% going to happen because nobody in the history of this company deserves more than I do. I'm talking about the near future. Me...us, we, the New Age, thinking of us as just a group of men is a mistake. We are a philosophy, we are an ideology, we are the nagging conscience of a company that has thrown itself away to moral monsters. Mr Rain, you appear to have me mistaken for somebody else, I'm not going to be "a casualty" as you like to put it......I am the measuring stick, I am the man you have to impress in order to make it around here, because there has been a lot of talk about the New Age and their ideology as of late. Many believe that the New Age do not wish for the next generation of ThyWWE wrestlers to make it to the top.....Well thats a lie, do not be mistaken, we do not care for the next generation as a whole, what we care about is that special breed of wrestler. What we want and what we will continue to fight for is for the best of the best to given the opportunities that they deserve. I want you to know Rain, I watched your match against Zak Shields and I was not impressed, I did not like what I was watching, so here's a little backstage scoop for you. You told me to blame the bookers for the beating that you're going to give me?......As I matter of fact, I was the one who got this match booked, stamped, made official, however you wanna put it. The reason you are in the main event is because I demanded it. I did not want to fight Kurt Orton and beat him for the seventh time, I do not care that Gabriel North has sudddenly grown a pair of testicles during his most recent leave of absence. I wanted you Rain.....and I'll tell you why. I never saw it in you, I watched you and the desire and effort, you did not belong in the ring with one of most superior athletes in the history of this industry. So this Monday, Mr "Phenom", I am going to make you ask yourself "Am I the best in the world like I claim to be?" and then as I have you locked in the ChainLock Choke, gasping for air, with nowhere to go. You're gonna confess to me, and only you and I will know your answer come the end of the night.........Best....in the world."
The screen cuts to black as the camera suddenly shuts off after Bob mutters his final words.
OOC: Sorry for the lack of coding and the less than usual RP. Got terrible writers block after Oppression, apologies to Rain for this, hopefully we can go again in the future.
