The bell has been rung and history has been made in THY WWE. Zak releases the Sharpshooter from Triana’s legs and he stands in the middle of the ring. The crowd booming so loud that it’s deafening to him. Zak takes deep breathes as the awe of the moment slows down time. He looks around for Sophie who is climbing the ropes with a tear in her eye. The Ref hands Zak both titles he takes them and he raises them above his head as Sophie comes running in for a hug. Zak throws his arms around her. Triana has exited the ring by this point being aided by officials as she limps away. Zak looks to her and he pumps his fist in the air as the crowd goes wilder. Zak places the Television title around Sophie’s waist and he slings the Intercontinental title over his shoulder. They both exit the ring and they slowly walk up the ramp hand in hand. The crowd continues to scream the house down as they exit. Zak and Sophie continue to walk down the hallway as they meet Triana being examined by medics. Zak gives the Intercontinental Title to Sophie and he whispers into her ear. Sophie continues to walk off as Zak stops at the stretcher that Triana is laying on.
Triana – “I take it you’re here to gloat?”
Zak says nothing he simply holds out his hand in kind gesture. Triana looks surprised as she accepts the handshake.
Zak Shields – “I’ve learnt never to gloat if the opponent was worthy. I look forward to you making your come back. I will treat the Intercontinental title with humility and honor. Just as you did.”
The hand shake finishes as the medics continue to check over Triana’s legs. Zak walks off wiping the sweat from his brow. He gets to his locker room and he can hear the shower running in the back. He looks to his chair and see’s both titles and Sophie’s clothes on the floor next to them. Zak cracks a smile and he closes the locker room door and locks the door behind him.
It’s late in the morning about 11am in Las Vegas, Nevada. The sun is almost at its peak with the heat of the dessert tanning the sides of the buildings. A bird’s eye view of the stripe shows the locals, tourists and many workers going about their daily business. The view takes a long stroll past the strip to a small white chapel, not those tacky kinds with the Elvis impersonators and the drive through windows but the kind you would find in a small village in the hills of the Yorkshire dales. The camera slowly dives down to the front door as two doves sit on the fence outside the doors open to see `a few small pews on each side of the church. At the front of the aisle we see Zak Shields and JTB both in matching tuxedos. Zak has a white rose in his top pocket the rose of his beloved Yorkshire County back in England. Joey is brushing down Zak as Zak wipes sweat from his brow.
Joey the Bastard – “You sure this is the time for this mate?”
Zak Shields – “I have never been so sure of anything in my entire life mate. My little one is on the way and I’ll be dammed if he’s born a bastard. I love Sophie and I love that baby. This is the right time to do this.”
JTB comes round to the front of Zak and they shake hands.
Zak Shields – “Thanks for being my best man mate.”
Joey the Bastard – “Stop being so soppy you Northern English bastard.”
They both share a laugh for a brief moment as the vicar walks in from the back room. He stands in front of the two men and he points to the organist and she begins to play here comes the bride.
Vicar – “Shall we begin?”
The doors behind Zak open and in walks Sophie wearing a satin white wedding dress falling just to her feet. On her arm walking her in is Bob Cena and Troy Motor walking behind them. The sunlight breaking through the windows glistens onto her skin as Sophie smiles from ear to ear. They get to the front and Sophie gives Bob a quick peck on the cheek as a sign of gratitude. Joey shakes Zak’s hand and he in turn gives Sophie a peck as well. Troy takes a seat in the front row and he is joined shortly by Bob and Joey. The music dies down as Zak and Sophie hold hands as the vicar starts his ceremony.
Vicar – “Welcome all, we are all gathered here today to bear witness to the marriage of Zakery Daniel Shields and Sophie Dumas. If anyone knows for any legal reason they should speak now or forever hold their peace.”
A silence is echoed around the room as the vicar continues.
Vicar – “I believe both bride and groom have written their own vows. As always ladies first.”
Sophie Dumas – “Zak from the first moment I met you I knew in my heart that you would be the one to tame this wild beast. I know that one day I would make a wife for someone just like you. On that fateful night when we first met it changed my life and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. You are my world, my champion and my one true love. I love you.”
Vicar – “Zak now you.”
Zak Shields – “Sophie, from the moment I met you I loved you. I just quite never knew how to tell you until the time was right. Every waking moment I love you a little bit more. From this day forward I promise to protect you and our baby until my last breathe is drawn from my lungs. I promise to love you and you only, you and no other until my days are done.”
Both Zak and Sophie are stood with tears streaming down their eyes. Bob, Joey and Troy are all stood waiting for those final words from the vicar.
Vicar – “It is my pleasure to pronounce you husband and wife. Zak you may kiss your bride.”
Zak holds Sophie close and they share their first kiss as husband and wife.
Vicar – “Gentlemen let me introduce to you Mr. and Mrs. Zak Shields!”
The three men jump and cheer as all 5 of them share a massive hug as the camera fades out.
Backstage in the MGM grand arena Zak is stood with Burris Troy, Sophie is absent for the night perhaps she is back at the hotel room or maybe just out showing off her new wedding ring to her friends. But more to the point. Zak is wearing his ring attire over his left shoulder is the Television Title and over his right is the Intercontinental Title. Burris is in his usual Pin striped suit and black tie. The camera clicks to live and Burris gets his interview underway.
Burris Troy – “Ladies and gentlemen at this time my guest is the current and first Dual Champion in THY WWE, Zak Shields. Zak last week at Oppression you made history and became the first Dual Champion here in THY WWE. How does that make you feel?”
Zak Shields – “Last week you’re right I made history. The Television Title and the Intercontinental Title came to me and I walked out of Oppression as the first ever Dual Champion. I feel like I can take on the world. Nothing can stop me now, I broke all ties from Bret Hart and since then everything has gone right for me. I once told the THY Universe that Zak Shields is a man to watch and I didn’t disappoint. The world has witnessed greatness and I will stop at nothing until my destiny is complete.”
Burris Troy – “One question that has been on everyone’s lips though Zak. Why did you use the Sharpshooter to defeat Triana?”
Zak Shields – “Bret Hart taught me the Sharpshooter while I was still under his wing. Bret struggled to win any match with his patented move but last week I showed him and the world how it is done. Bret Hart can kiss my ass if he thinks he can lock it in better than me. That Burris is why I will be using it more often. It will be my signature move.”
Burris Troy – “Tonight Zak you face Rain, Rain is from your home town. How does it feel facing someone so close to your own back yard?”
Zak Shields – “Rain, I must say you have impressed me somewhat since coming to THY. Winning in your first appearance at a Pay-Per-View and making a real name for yourself. But there can be only one true English Warrior in this game and that my friend is me. Now I do have respect for you being a fellow Yorkshire man like myself. But when you step into that ring the gloves come off and Zak is running wild on your ass. Tonight I don’t have to place my titles on the line against you, Rain but take this night as a chance to prove yourself. Take a leaf out of my book and show the world why you deserve to be a champion like me. Take this opportunity and don’t drop the ball. Rain tonight don’t fuck up your chance.”
Burris Troy – “Zak thank you from your time. And congratulations on your recent marriage and we all hope you have a long and happy life with your wife Sophie.”
Zak Shields – “Thanks Burris, Tonight I make this match out to my wife Sophie Shields.”
Burris and Zak shake hands as the camera goes off.
Triana – “I take it you’re here to gloat?”
Zak says nothing he simply holds out his hand in kind gesture. Triana looks surprised as she accepts the handshake.
