Hunter West story is not what one would call a fairy tale. As far as he can remember he had lived in some kind of Orphanage the edges of Minneapolis Minnesota. He was found on the steps one night in the pouring rain in a small wicker basket wrapped in a blanket. The lady that ran the home heard the crying through the storm and rushed out. Hunter had heard the story a thousand times, She looked but there was no one there. Just a small baby crying in the night with no one to care and no name.
Even though normally the name of the child is supposed to be John Doe in situations like this the lady decided to name him "Hunter West" because that was the name of the streets which converged on the Orphanages location.
That was the first step on Hunter journey to the ring. He was then raised in the orphanage with a score of other children all constantly coming and going, never truly feeling at home. He was adopted only once when he was 6 but the young couple that adopted him grew cold towards him and each other. Hunter ran away and they didn't bother to look for him. So he ended up back in a different Orphanage, this one much bigger. This is where he eventually grew into a young man. Instead of being cold and bitter like some of the kids Young Hunter decided to have the best attitude he could. And as he grew older many of the younger children looked to him as a big brother figure, which he enjoyed.
Though he was never a bad child he was considered quite the trouble maker. Constantly sneaking out to travel the city. Brought back by the police many of times for reckless daredevil antics around town. Even spent a month in juvy for stealing the mayors car and driving it right onto the the pitching mound during a Twins game.
The Caretakers of the home often considered him a "Lost Cause" because he showed no signs of wanting to have a family. But most of them respect him as someone who had the other kids best interests at heart. Would help them with homework, walk the little ones to and from their bus, and help them with their respective adoption interviews. Anytime a child would be adopted Hunter would make sure to see them off and often kept in contact with them through letters, emails, or pone conversations. Considered by many of the kids to be a protector Hunter was never shy about standing up for any of the kids. From other Orphans all the way to Adults who worked at the home, having his share of fights with both.
Then a day came that changed everything. While sneaking out of the home one night Hunter found his way to a living taping of a Thy WWE show. sneaking in he watched as the superstars wowed the crowd and he sat mesmerized at how amazing the athletes were. After the show was over Hunter heard a woman's scream coming from an ally way. Some drunk guy apparently didn't want to take no for an answer and was trying to have his way with his now very unhappy date. Instinctively Hunter rushed to stop the man, who was twice his age and size. However the 16 year Hunter took down the man using his speed and by using moves he had watched the wrestlers do at the show he was at. By the time he finally took the man down a crowd had formed and they cheered for Hunter as he finally put the man down. One of the people in that crowd was an Thy WWE Talent scout that had happened to be slipping out the back. He quickly pulled Hunter aside and asked if he wanted to be a part of Thy's Developmental program. Hunter at first refused but then after thinking about it found the man the next day in his hotel and agreed.
So for the last year young Hunter has been learning the ropes of the wrestling business under the stage name "Rufio" taken from his favorite movie character. the trainers were amazed at his ability and the crowds started to eat him up as well. Still commuting back and forth from his Home in Minneapolis Hunter was starting to become a big name in the Developmental as well as indie world. His high flying ring skills and his devil may care attitude made for him to become the next big thing in the eyes of many.
Now the Lost Boy has gotten the call that he is going to be on the big stage. Where history has been made and super stars have been forged. At only 18 years old will the young man have what it takes to be a champion in Thy WWE? Just wait and see.
