Raw begins on an unusual note with Beno in the ring, he is sitting down on a steel folding chair with the Thy WWE World Championship laid out in front of him. He is slouched down, looking bored and disinterested as he twirls a microphone in his right hand. A ringside camera comes in close to Beno and he just stares into it for a moment before starting to speak.
Beno: There aren’t too many times in this business when I can honestly say that I am taken by surprise. Two weeks ago Christian you done something that I honestly was not expecting, you put your money where your mouth is. I wasn’t buying into the crap you were spewing about ruling with an iron fist and stern leadership and all that other nonsense, honestly I had written you off as an executive, just like the entire locker room had written you off as a legitimate wrestler.
You’re all in now Christian, there’s no going back.
The question I have for you though is why? Why take such a reckless risk?
Are you really that certain of yourself Christian? Did your “challenging” victory over Kurt Orton give you some false sense of talent? Do you know what you have gotten yourself into Christian? I me-
”Written In The Stars” by Tinie Tempah blasts out over the speakers and we see General Manager Knight saunter onto the stage and walk down to the ring. In his hand is a microphone and he signals for his music to be cut off. Beno continues to look disinterested as General Manager Knight stares at him for a second before beginning to speak.
General Manager Knight: Out here by yourself Beno? Is this the part of the plan where the Knights swarm from under the ring and beat me down? And then after they’ve done the damage you come in and pick my bones clean and then take full credit for the attack? That se-
Beno: No Christian. It’s just you and me…I’ve given explicit orders for them to remain backstage.
We can see General Manager Knight is visibly surprised by what Beno has told him.
Beno: Christian I’ve heard everything you’ve had to say about me since you started your naïve quest. I’ve heard you rip my accomplishments, rip my qualifications to be World Champion, label me as second rate to great champions past. And you know something Christian, you’re right.
General Manager Knight continues to look surprised at the words Beno is speaking.
Beno: Compared to great men and great former champions such as Alex Kendall, Undertaker, Jonny Freeman I am second rate. Those men were of a different era, a different time in this company and they were the absolute best. I haven’t beaten them, but only because they are no longer around. If those men were around today Christian, I would defeat them all the same. Where in the hell do you come off trying to judge me and compare me to men who aren’t even around anymore?
Christian, this is 2013, and I am the best in the locker room. I am the greatest superstar walking around. There’s a reason why I am the World Champion, there’s a reason why for the first time in ages, this belt is being taken seriously again.
I can see the derision in your eyes Christian? But am I wrong?
Honestly, who else here is better than me?
Kurt Orton? How many times has he had his chance to be the man, only to squander it or blow it altogether?
Beno now stands up forcefully and causes his chair to get knocked over
Jacob Senn? He calls himself the Saviour, but the choke artist Is a more fitting nickname. That man has had chance after chance, after chance again and has always came up short.
Bob Cena? That thug seems more occupied with his wannabe tough guy raps and floating around in career obscurity then actually being a champion. He is a prime example of talent going to waste…
Christian you live in the past, but I AM the present. And here in the present I am the man, I am the greatest superstar that there is. I hold the key to the immortality that you so desperately seek to attain. You can not like it all you want, you can deny it all you want, but the facts speak for themselves.
Whatever moment of madness possessed you to bet it all Christian, it will all be for moot.
You are going to be beaten by me, just like the others before you, at the pay per view.
It’s as simple as that…
Beno then drops the microphone, grabs his title, and forcefully pushes past Christian and exits the ring. Getting midway up the ramp, we see Beno turn and raise the title in the air and start to taunt General Manager Knight in the ring. We see General Manager Knight start to lift the microphone up as if he was formulating a response, but then decides against it. The show then goes to a commercial break with the two men trash talking each other.

Main Event: K. Orton vs Joey the Bastard
DING DING DING!!
Ring Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is your main event for the evening. Introducing first...
HIT!
THE!
SWITCH!
"Scream" by Thousand Foot Krutch blasts across the PA System as Kurt Orton walks out after the opening beat, AJ is by his side, scowling in disapproval at the fans who begin to drown Orton in boos and other various signs of distaste.
Ring Announcer: Accompanied by AJ Orton, from Newark, New Jersey and weighing in at two hundred and forty five pounds..."The Prodigy" Kurt Orton!
Kurt ignores the audience for the moment, striding down the ramp until he reaches the steel ring steps, which he climbs up. He pauses on the ring apron, and screams out "Screw the Peep Zone!", before stepping through the ropes. He poses to further antagonize the crowd, closing his eyes as if letting the hatred from the fans seep into his body. When he finishes he moves to the opposite side of the ring and sits down in the corner, with AJ clapping for him outside of the ring.
"Terror" by the Virus begins to play over the sound system, and the crowd reaction remains about the same, continuing to boo.
Ring Announcer: And introducing his opponent from The Streets of Vancouver, Canada and weighing in at two hundred and twenty seven pounds, Thy WWE Intercontinental Champion....Joey the Bastard!
Joey walks out with the Intercontinental Championship around his waist, and grins, patting the belt briefly, and begins to walk down the ramp confidently, his eyes zeroing in on Kurt's.
Phil Latio: Tough crowd here tonight for this main event Don
Don Chuckles: Well, either way these are two tough competitors, and we can expect a good match here tonight. The fans here may not love either of them, but they can respect a hard fought battle.
Phil Latio: True enough Don, but I am not sure who to give the edge to. We have the former World Champion Kurt Orton, and the current Intercontinental Champion, and member of the illustrious Knights squaring off.
Don Chuckles: Either way, with AJ out here maybe we can see some puppies!
Phil Latio: Just stop Don. You are not the King, but I can assure you this will be one hell of a slobberknocker.
Don Chuckles: Really Phil?
Joey steps through the ropes, and unstraps the belt from around his waist, raising it high into the air, taking a few steps towards Kurt. Orton gets up to his feet, his face full of anger and punches Joey square in the face.
DING DING DING!!
Phil Latio: And it looks like things are already getting heated!
Don Chuckles: Great way to start a match
The bell rings and the two men trade punch after vicious punch. Joey gains the upper hand, gouging Kurt in the eye with his thumb, causing Orton to cover his eye with his hands. Joey kicks Orton in the stomach, making him double over, followed by a knee to the head that drops him to the canvas.
Don Chuckles: A brilliant tactic by Joey the Bastard there
Phil Latio: You can expect him to pull no punches, and will do what it takes to win. This man grew up on the rough streets in downtown Vancouver, he knows how to fight dirty.
Don Chuckles: Very true Phil, but don't count Kurt out of this yet, he has a few tricks up his sleeve, and don't forget he has AJ in his corner.
Joey picks up Orton and whips him to the corner with a force that makes the ring ropes shake, and Orton slumps down to a sitting position. The Bastard runs the opposite direction, bounces off the ropes, and unleashes a furious boot to the face. He smirks, grabbing Kurt by the boot and dragging him away from the corner and the ropes and goes for the cover.
ONE!!
Don Chuckles: Smart of Joey to force KO to kick out instead of grabbing the ropes.
TWO!!
Phil Latio: IF he kicks out. The Knights are a well trained group.
KICKOUT!
If Joey was irritated in the slightest, he did not show it, and continues on with business, picking up Orton and irish whipping him to the ropes. On the rebound Joey fires off a clothesline, but Orton ducks, bounces off the other side of the ropes and leaps into the air before he reaches Joey, hitting him with a dropkick that sends his opponent sprawling. Joey scrambles back to his feet, but Orton has quickly ran back and bounced off the ropes again, and just as Joey reaches his feet he is hit with a superman punch from Kurt that sends him staggering back against the ropes. Kurt rushes forward and clotheslines Joey over the top rope.
Phil Latio: Kurt Orton can be very quick
Don Chuckles: A good way for him to keep in this match and to counteract Joey's edge on pure brawling is to keep mobile and keep him reeling. Orton has one of the quickest offensive sets in the business.
Kurt immediately climbs the turnbuckle to the top rope, looking to score big time, but Joey manages to get to the apron, and rolls into the ring. Orton frowns in disappointment, and climbs back down as Joey gets to his feet. Kurt explodes into action, knocking Joey back down with a spinning back fist, and with determination and persistance climbs back up the turnbuckle to the top rope. Orton grins and poses for the crowd, and blows a kiss to AJ. During this short span of time, Joey gets to his feet and rushes the corner, climbing up and grabs him around the waist, launching Orton overhead and himself backwards with a belly to belly suplex from the top. Both men hit the canvas hard.
Don Chuckles: What a move! Orton didn't see that coming, his arrogance came back to bite him there.
Phil Latio: Sure did even things up, but both men have taken the toll from that one.
The referee begins to start a ten count, but both men manage to make it up to their feet about halfway through. Joey throws a punch, but Orton sidesteps, and grabs him by the head, taking him down with a snapmare, and follows up with a chinlock to the seated Joey. Joey struggles, unable to free himself from the grasp of the Prodigy, who increases the pressure on the hold.
Phil Latio: Orton slowing down the pace of the match here
Don Chuckles: Conserving his energy perhaps for a flurry of offense later after he wears him down.
Joey starts to show signs of fading, and AJ cheers Orton on. He gives out a cocky smirk, but Joey begins to maneuver, trying to get back to a vertical position. He manages to get his legs under him, and Kurt throws on even more pressure for the hold, Joey's face going from a bright red to a deep purple. He manages to get back to his feet, and Joey slips under and back, lifting Orton up and dropping him down with a back suplex, and lays on the mat to catch his breath for a moment, color returning to his face. Orton gets back up, slips behind Joey and applies another chinlock, both men still on their feet. Joey shifts his body and moves forward, pushing off of Kurt's back to send him towards the ropes. Orton leaps into the air for a heel kick, but Joey ducks, and Orton hits the mat. Orton gets back to his feet, but Joey runs up behind him before he can turn around and hits him with a german suplex, bridging over for the pin.
ONE!
TWO!
KICKOUT!
Phil Latio: A near fall there
Don Chuckles: Technically sound suplex there, I thought he had him
Both men are back to their feet and Joey delivers a knife edge chop to the chest of Orton as the crowd yells "WOOO". He hits him again, and again, repeatedly until he backs him into the corner. He begins to unleash a flurry of strikes, punches knees, elbows, and kicks. He pauses for a moment, Orton dazed and leaning back in the corner. He hooks Orton under the armpit and performs an arm drag takedown towards the center of the ring. He stomps on Orton's gut and chest a few times, then picks him up to his feet and headbutts him followed by a dropkick that sends Orton outside of the ring through the middle ropes. Orton rolls back, and gets up, leaning back against the announcers table. Joey runs the opposite way, bounces off the ropes, and runs forward as fast as he can, and uses his momentum for a suicide dive through the ropes, his body a heat seeking missile headed straight for Kurt.
Don Chuckles: Wait, what is he doing here?! Move Phil!
Phil Latio: Holy sh-
Phil and Don spread apart away from the table, and Orton moves at the last second and Joey's back hits the edge of the announcers table. Joey grits his teeth as the nerves in his back explode with pain and agony. Orton slowly gets to his feet, and Joey clutches the top of the table, trying to drag himself to his. For good measure, Orton superkicks Joey as he is almost fully to his feet, but in obvious pain, causing Joey to fall back ontop of the table, splayed across it. Orton rolls into the ring and yells at the referee to start the ten count.
Phil Latio: Joey looks really hurt here...
Don Chuckles: Those moves are always high risk, high reward, it wasn't a bad gamble, just did not pay off this time.
Phil Latio: I think this match is over Don
Kurt goes to a corner and leans back, catching his breath with a satisfied smile, and AJ climbs up onto the apron speaking words of approval in his ear. The referee begins to start the ten count

Don Chuckles: Wow, that was close!
Phil Latio: It is the way of the Knights Don, they are just all heart, and never give up.
Orton screams at the referee, and AJ drops back down off the apron to the floor to get out of the way. Joey gets to his feet, and Orton rushes over, grabbing his arms and attempts to hit the Killswitch, but Joey shakes it off, pushing Orton away roughly, slightly losing his balance, launching him towards the ropes. Orton bounces off of them. Joey regains his balance, only to be caught with a brutal spear by Kurt.
Don Chuckles: Spear! Orton hit the spear!
Phil Latio: This does not bode well for-
The sounds of battle, blades cutting flesh, the screams of dying men, are heard over the speakers. Kurt Orton turns around, and the audience looks towards the stage aswell, going silent. A theme not used before is heard, but once the video begins playing, the crowd knows who it is. The crowd begins to roar in approval.
Phil Latio: It's Sheamus!
Don Chuckles: I think he's here for Orton!
Orton continues to watch the stage area as the music continues to play, but nobody comes out. He begins to look around out in the crowd for him, yelling.
Don Chuckles: Where is he?
Phil Latio: Orton better watch out!
Orton turns around again in his search, as Joey is up on his feet, lifting him up in a verticle suplex position, and summarily drpos him down into a sitdown piledriver.
Don Chuckles: Oh my god!
Phil Latio: A nasty Skrewdriver there by Joey the Bastard! This one might be over!
