History:
Lance Mercer cares about one thing and one thing only...you losing! born in London England but raised his whole life in Las Vegas Nevada the self proclaimed Sin City Savior might go down as one of the most diabolical minds in professional wrestling history.
Lance's mother, Bethany Haywater, was a young girl living on the streets of London as a call girl when one night became the one night stand of billionaire Paul Mason Jr. and became pregnant. not wanting the scandal to affect his public standing he used his money and contacts to send the pregnant Bethany to anywhere but London, she choice Nevada where she her aunt lived.
After giving birth Bethany moved to Vegas taking her little boy with her. not knowing much else Bethany became a high level prostitute with a black book full of the countries most powerful people. This was the life that Mercer knew.
Growing up in Vegas Lance learned two fundamental principles 1) Money is Power 2) The Rules don't apply to people with power. Lance's biggest role model was Ryan Mercer. Ryan was a defense attorney that Bethany would call the times that she would need legal representation. Ryan was a ruthless and cunning legal mind and was known for winning with any means necessary. Lance looked to Ryan as a father figure and would be underfoot through out his entire childhood.
Being a Sin City Native Lance grew up around a lot of flash, glamorous but also a lot of violence. being arrested many times for street fighting and assault he was never convicted with help from Ryan Mercer. at 16 Ryan promised that if Lance would stop getting caught that he would make him a partner at Mercers Law firm.
From that point on Lance would keep his nose clean ( or at least not getting caught) and would keep his fighting to the gym and put his nose to the books. graduating 1st in his high school class he ended up leaving Vegas and went to Harvard Law school where he would study every aspect of law. graduating magna cum laude he then returned to Vegas to join Ryan Mercers law firm.
During his time in law he would build a reputation of being the slickest and slimiest lawyer most have ever seen. Not caring for who he represented as long as they could pay Lance put some of the most evil people back out on the streets. his only goal was to prove he was better and smarter then who ever was facing him.
this castle however would come crashing down when Lance was caught black mailing the D.A. and was promptly diss-bared. he would spend a year in jail and then was released on an appeal. Lance would go into a massive spiral of depression and drinking until one day he drunkenly stumbled onto a indie wrestling invitational. The Champion was challenging any who thought they could defeat him. Lance, angry and drunk, wasted no time completely decimating the larger champion leaving him a bloody pulp in the ring.
seeing the looks from the astonished crowd and feeling a sense of power again young Lance had found a new place to assert his will. learning everything he could about the wrestling world Lance's computer like mind would not only destroy his opponents inside the ring but also allow him to keep them from wining outside of it, often finding loop holes and bylaws that would effect matches or swing things in Lance's favor.
Lance would remain undefeated with a remarkable record of 143 wins 0 loses. with almost ever single win being via submission. very much still a lawyer in his mind Mercer was hated by most for his vile and shady attitude. most of the wrestlers in the back hated their new champion, that is until they needed his representation. After a long time at the top Lance was recruited by a bigger though still small time wrestling federation and left for Texas. There he started his rise to international disdain. His knowledge of wrestling loop holes and bylaws made go to guy for other less then reputable wrestlers to use as he always seem to get them out of trouble. in fact Lance seemed to earn his stripes more outside the ring then in it managing anyone who would pay for his "legal" services. one day Lance was seen by a talent scout and Young Lance was drafted to one of the biggest stages in all of pro wresting The Thy WWE.
Lance agreed more then happy to provide his services to this new venue and if history dictates pain is the only thing to expect for whoever steps into Mercers Court.
Wrestling Style: Lances cool demeanor hides his vicious and evil nature. he prefers well paced strikes and submission moves. Mercer is not afraid to go high risk and is very comfortable on the top rope.
very dirty fighting style and is known for breaking the rules whenever possible.
