Prologue
For those of you who don’t know, The Undertaker and The Miz have faced off twice before. Each man has garnered a victory over the other and on each occasion it has been a tight contest. The Undertaker was defeated by The Miz on Monday Night Raw prior to the battle royal in which The Undertaker won the WWE Championship which he has held up to this point. The second time Undertaker and The Miz crossed paths, it was for the WWE Championship at Bad Blood, Monday Night Raw’s first Pay Per View. This encounter however, was more personal as The Undertaker captured The Miz’s former girlfriend and Diva Search 2010 winner Natlya and performed a Ministry rite on her. Blinded by passion and fury, The Miz swore revenge on the dark, possessed Phenom and entered the match by attacking The Undertaker before the bell. In the heated bout, Undertaker emerged victorious and retained his WWE Championship. Ever since, The Miz has been plotting and biding his time, waiting for the chance to encounter Undertaker in the ring once more. This time is now, Undertaker has walked a long road, bearing the WWE Championship with him all the way. Will this week be Undertaker’s last week as WWE Champion? Will we see a new champion? Only two men will answer that question when they meet in the ring and compete for the biggest Honor in Sports Entertainment.
The broadcast of Monday Night Raw returns from a particularly long ad break revealing tonight’s venue packed with fans that rolled out to witness another exciting episode of Raw and a Pay Per View quality main event in The Undertaker versus “Reality’s Legend” The Miz. On top of that, they will see their Intercontinental Champion, Triple H compete, amongst other athletes. As the camera scans the crowd, most are clad in Miz t-shirts which clearly state their astronomical level of awesomeness, the kind only The Miz could have. The camera fixates on a fan who is wearing one of Miz’s t-shirts, firmly clasping a sign which reads: “Heart Break Kid for the title!” The camera moves away from the Shawn Michaels stroke Miz fan and zooms back out to the ring where and announcer stands, awaiting his queue. But with no one emerging from the Gorilla Position, the camera crew decide to stick with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler instead. Jim Ross looks up, suddenly appearing from the darkness his black cowboy hat shrouded him in while King adjusts his jacket which is covered in a “royal” design of gold and blue. WWE fans with the privilege of sitting to the rear of the announcer’s desk heckle the commentary team with constant wooos Ric Flair style and continual gesturing and waving which disturbs the duo in their peripheral view.
Jim Ross
Hello everybody and welcome to another blockbuster edition of the WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night Raw! I’m joined here by Jerry Lawler and together we are delighted to be calling tonight’s Raw for you all at home. We are lucky to be able to announce tonight’s great card with a huge main event we saw in a Pay Per View, namely Bad Blood, only last month. That main event is Undertaker vs Miz in what is sure to be a memorable bout which may even crown a new champion. The Undertaker has been unbeaten ever since he won the illustrious belt back on February the ninth in a Championship Scramble. He has been on a seven match unbeaten run and if there is anybody who can end that impressive run, it’s The Miz.
Jerry Lawler
We were privileged enough to see these two face off at Monday Night Raw’s most recent pay per view, Bad Blood and it was a classic. Mr McMahon is a genius! He is giving all the fans what they want by pitting two of the very best against each other on our weekly show. I hope these fans feel fortunate to be here tonight, viewing PPV a calibre match up. This is certainly better than whatever Friday Night Smackdown has to offer and the announcing, well let’s just say Raw has the upper hand there.
Jim Ross
While I do agree some healthy brand versus brand competition is a good thing, some people on both brands, including you have taken it too far. I think Shane McMahon is doing an excellent job and there is some real talent there, let’s just leave it at that. Now, getting back to our main event, The Undertaker enters the match with a triumphant victory over a returning Texas Rattlesnake while The Miz seems like he wants to be somewhere else and he hasn’t been performing as well as he was a few weeks back. But hopefully the prospect of meeting Undertaker in the ring will evoke old memories and those recollections will inspire him to fully exert himself in the ring against The Deadman.
Both announcer’s have a bright, zealous demeanour surrounding their being, both of them know there is a fantastic card, with a blockbuster main event to look forward to. The fans are impatient as they anticipate the announcement for the first match which will begin Raw. Many fans have made their alignment very evident by booing passionately and cheering emphatically whenever the face of a Raw superstar lights up the titantron. As the camera passes by, a fan shoots from his chair and brandishes a sign which looks as though it took a long time to create. The fan hops up and down waving the sign frantically, it’s one praising The Miz and berating the WWE Champion, The Undertaker. It depicts Miz with a smirk on his face, raising his head slightly as The Rock does when he taunts atop the turnbuckle and behind him is a sea of white. There is a bright bolt of lightning separating the sign horizontally and below the consecrated image of Miz at the top, there is a shadowy, hellish picture of Undertaker shrouded in the darkness he has become so acquainted with. The man is wearing an “AWESOME!” t-shirt showing who he will be routing for during the main event. The ring almost seems noble as the centerpiece of the arena, the canvas is a bright white and bounces ever so slightly as people enter and exit it. It’s hard to comprehend it as a demonic playground for someone as twisted and malevolent as The Undertaker later on in the show. Various feelings of excitement, prescience, impetuosity and impatience seem to build every moment, with the atmosphere growing more intense, the fans vent their impatience through near incessant noise and by cheering and booing at any opportunity.
Jim Ross
The tension in this arena is building, all these fans want to see the latest instalment of Raw. But I think there needs to be some way for the fans to entertain themselves and perhaps get a bit off release. Maybe a visit from their most hated or most loved superstar will suffice, The Undertaker perhaps? Or maybe Miz.
A visit from The Demon of Death Valley would certainly give the fans something to react to. As universally hated as The Undertaker is, there wasn’t a time when the WWE Universe felt more disdain and at times contempt for him as when he fought The Miz. The audience found themselves embroiled in The Miz’s foray into the darkness and that memory of Undertaker’s sadistic callous actions, devoid of any morality has implanted itself into the subconscious of every WWE fan at home. The Miz entered Bad Blood a tortured man and left it a battered and bruised tortured man, the fans fought and fell alongside Miz and they are willing to do the same again tonight. So if Undertaker were to show his face, each and every fan would boo for Miz and for themselves so they can continue on their collective strife against The Lord of Darkness and WWE Champion, The Undertaker. Jim Ross looks over at King, who has a look in his eyes which insinuates that he is about to utter some more of his trademark nonsense, but contrary to widespread belief, he shrinks back into his chair and allows his broadcast partner to continue on with his commentary.
Jim Ross
These fans will have something to shout about sooner rather than later as we are due a visit from a superstar in just a moment. No doubt, whoever is scheduled to arrive imminently is obviously trying to get a leg up on their opponent tonight. With so many stars debuting tonight, there is going to be some fierce competition to kick the show off.
Jerry Lawler
I can’t wait to see Shawn Michaels make his in ring return tonight. The Heartbreak Kid had some difficulty a few months back when he lost to Mr Kennedy, but he is back and looks better than ever with Natalya on his arm, but that Cody Dementium guy is mysterious, I don’t know enough about him to call who is gonna win.
Jim Ross
This Cody Dementium character is an alleged submission master and has seemingly perfected the triangle choke hold. His weakness may be the fact that he is under two hundred pounds, everyone else on the roster outweighs him, bar Hornswoggle. Athletes such as Sam DiBiase and Undertaker may run him to the ground, but perhaps he will be able to out manoeuvre the larger wrestlers and clamp on the “Vendetta”.
All of a sudden the sound of thunder crackles throughout the arena, lightning bolts strike across the titantron and the arena lights dim in and out of light, making the arena turn very neurotic. A final loud clap of thunder rumbles almost deafeningly for a moment before subsiding. The arena is now covered in darkness, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler have been stunned into silence and he fans are soundless in the stands. Nothing can be seen but a faint light high in the rafters, which isn’t even supplying sufficient light for the people around it. The arena seems dormant in the artificial night, with everyone blind and deaf in the nothingness of the arena around them, they are unaware of the smoke pouring out over the stage. Wisps of smoke curl and float into the rows of fans, intermittent flashes of light flash against the smoke giving the fans a temporary look at their environment before cutting out into the darkness. The proverbial sound of a deep gong booms through the speaker system, reverberating around the stands, inducing feelings of disparagement amongst the fans for the man due to arrive imminently. Another gong resonates through the speakers, ringing in the ears of every member of the crowd. The WWE Universe prepare a hostile environment for The Phenom to enter by sending rather distasteful remarks out into the smoky surroundings.
Jim Ross
A typically belligerent reaction for The Undertaker here with just about every Miz, Brian Gunn, Stone Cold, hell…..every fan in the building is berating The Deadman and he hasn’t even walked out on to the stage yet! Undertaker has certainly cemented a reputation for being perhaps, the most hated man in the entire industry and he doesn’t even seem to acknowledge it!
Jerry Lawler
That’s because Undertaker is a cold, callous killer and all that matters to him is keeping a hold of that belt and destroying anyone who gets in his way. So far he has been pretty successful at it as well.
As a final gong sounds, the stage is bathed in a gentle blue light, which flashes with a bright, white light every other moment. Plumes of smoke shroud the entrance so when Undertaker steps into the fray, he seems no more than a black shape, levitating through the air with his feet swallowed up by the smoke. The smoke grows ravenous and a jet of it shoots into the air, covering up his figure, in the peculiar light Undertaker could easily be mistaken for some sort of apparition moving through the smoke, resembling a willo’ the wisp floating through the mists on a dark night. Undertaker paused atop the ramp with his head bowed, staring at the steel ramp through the thick layer of smoke. The last time the fans saw Undertaker was when he defeated the insurrectionary Texan, Steve Austin in last week main event on Raw. The camera zooms in on Undertaker until he can be seen from shoulder height. He is garbed in a Ministry coat and has his hair hanging down over his face. As Undertaker’s titantron progresses through images of tombstones under a glowing moon, Undertaker with his eyes rolled back and scenes of Undertaker in a dark room with his arms by his side chanting in tongues, Undertaker slowly raises his head. The boos continue on as Undertaker finishes cocking his head upward. His hair falls back from his face as Undertaker looks upward and he rolls back his eyes. As Undertaker’s eyes reach the back of his skull, flames belch out from the stage behind him. The camera pans back outward, Undertaker begins to move forward once more at his trademark pace which is in sync with the Dead March theme which has become his signature theme.
Jim Ross
Undertaker has a look about him which says he isn’t out here for any idle talk. He knows The Miz is the one who has come closest to dethroning him as WWE Champion out of any of the men Undertaker ha fought so far. Undertaker knows he is going through everything he did at Bad Blood and more tonight and he is mentally preparing himself for another great bout with “Reality’s Legend,” The Miz.
The lights flash once more and Undertaker strides through a wisp of smoke without any particular look written on his face, his face seems to be just be a blank canvas, giving nothing away to the fans. The Phenom strides ever on through the darkness, with the guard rails raising high either side of him and the ramp beneath him, a certain thought of the twenty-third Psalm arises in the minds of a small number of fans. But even though Undertaker is metaphorically marching through his own shadow in what has become a valley of death for numerous superstars, he is the basis of all the evil and it is he who is feared above all other things by the mortal men of the WWE. Undertaker’s arms sway gently from side to side as the incline of the ramp becomes flat ground as he approaches the steel ring steps. The fans all around turn their noses into the air and talk down to the WWE Champion who has the belt fitted snugly around his waist, giving him the décor he needs as “The Lord of Darkness”. Despite seemingly being of higher origin than those who surround him, Undertaker chooses to remain apparently oblivious to their condescending nature and vulgar words. The Deadman looks up towards the top turnbuckle pad, which is the destination of his persecuting march, made difficult by the hostile WWE fans.
Jim Ross
The universal hatred for this man is so potent, I’m having to shout over the noise of their disdain for Undertaker! This is certainly the release I was talking about before Undertaker arrived, the build up only made this reaction louder! I hope The Deadman has something worth saying after enduring all of this!
The camera is at such an angle that it picks up all the people privileged enough to get seats in the front row right beside where the superstars enter. These particular fans are cupping their hands together and booing through them to increase the volume of their derision for Undertaker. A younger member of the audience can be seen mouthing the words “You suck Undertaker!” But as The Phenom passes by his seat, he shrinks back into it beside his father, careful not to get too close to Undertaker after what happened to a fan a few weeks back on Raw. At that time Miz was involved with Undertaker as he is tonight. The Demon From Death Valley carefully goes step by step to the top of the steel steps and bows his head. From where he is standing, Undertaker’s impressive physique is visible to all, he is towering over the turnbuckle which is well over five and a half feet tall as he turns his hands upwards so they face the rafters and raises them slowly. Undertaker’s eyes roll back and gusts of smoke turned blue by the lights gushes out behind him, shrouding the ambiguity of Undertaker’s power in mystifying wisps of smoke. As Undertaker’s arms reach higher and higher, the light returns in proportion to the elevation of The Phenom’s upper limbs. As Undertaker’s arms reach their peak, the lights have fully returned and his upper lip upturns as he restores his eyes to their natural positioning.
Jerry Lawler
I’ve always wondered where Undertaker’s spooky powers came from JR. Every week he comes out here and turns out the lights, then walks to the ring and restores them. I wonder if we will see many more weird powers from Kane since he shares the same blood as Undertaker?
Jim Ross
I don’t know King, but we will certainly find out tonight when we debuts against Rob Van Dam. We witnessed Undertaker defeat RVD a couple of weeks back on Raw with a high impact tombstone, winning the contest. I wonder if we will see Kane bring home the win in such a decisive manner? But we can pose that question in due time, as now, Undertaker is here with something to say.
Undertaker lowers his arms very deliberately to his side and walks across the ring apron to the ropes. As The Phenom bends down his hair droops down over his eyes. Undertaker doesn’t have to prevent his hat from falling from his head to the floor below. As he slings his rear leg through the ropes Undertaker straightens up and makes his way to the centre of the ring. The fans continue on in their seemingly endless torrent of boos, their constant jeering not enervating them, they are actually off their seats, desperately trying to make out they loath Undertaker the most and love Miz the most. Undertaker has intentionally halted in the centre of the ring and is staring at all four corners of the arena with a look of predominance written on his face. Undertaker clearly believes he defines eminence and that each member of the crowd are underlining the fact that they are utter fools by believing they are better than him with their jeers. After a few moments of staring out select members of the crowd Undertaker turns his attention to the announcer’s desk as he requests a microphone from an official who swiftly gets to the ring and is awaiting Undertaker with a microphone. Undertaker however, strides leisurely to the far ropes before snatching the microphone from the man who held it graciously for The Deadman. With means of amplifying his voice beyond the sound threshold of the capacity crowd Undertaker strolls back to the middle of the ring, grasping the microphone firmly in hand. As Undertaker raises up the microphone the boos intensify, so he lowers it back to his side, inducing cheers from the crowd who are happy to know they thwarted Undertaker, at least temporarily. Undertaker raises the microphone once more, but this time he keeps it there as the fans boo and waits for them to finish until he begins to speak.
Undertaker
Last week, I defeated The Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin and you beheld me victorious and a champion. The week before that, I desecrated Austin I ran RVD into the ground. Subsequent to RVD’s annihilation, you all beheld me a champion, standing tall and triumphant. A week prior to that, I sent D’Lo’s skull crashing into the canvas and I stood over his broken body. You all beheld me a champion. Going even further back I fought a brutal casket match with none other than The Miz as my opponent at Bad Blood and in the end, I shut the lid of the casket sealing the victory. On that momentous night, each and every one of you beheld me as a champion and a winner. Each week for the past month and a half every single contest has ended the same way I have stated before, with me standing tall and my adversary battered and bruised on the mat. Do any of you honestly believe the outcome of the match tonight will differ in any way from the others? Will I succumb to The Miz tonight? He failed at Bad Blood and he will come short tonight.
The fans in the stand refrain from their jeering for a moment as Undertaker has induced memories of one night on February sixteenth when Undertaker and The Miz fought for the WWE Championship and Natalya in a casket match. On top of that, the fans remember each and every competitor Undertaker has faced since becoming champion and how they have been run into the ground just as Undertaker said. Undertaker lowers the microphone as the fans reminisce over past contests. There is a silence which is uncanny whenever The Demon From Death Valley is in the presence of the WWE Universe. Undertaker turns around and looks at the announcers for a moment before walking to the other end of the ring.
Jim Ross
Despite my lack of respect and utter disliking for the man, Undertaker does make a good point. He has notched up a very impressive win streak and the odds are very much stacked against The Miz tonight.
Jerry Lawler
Why don’t you respect Undertaker JR? He is one of the biggest names on the roster and is our current WWE Champion. You not having an ounce of respect for him after he worked for that belt is nothing short of crazy. This is all because he beat Stone Cold!
Jim Ross
Give it a rest, King.
Undertaker
But of all the men I fought, it was The Miz who made defending my title the most onerous. You were the one who’s weakness took longest to find, Miz. My dark will seeps into the minds of all who oppose me and tear them apart. I destroy your mentality before my fist ever gets near you face. But in the end, your psyche couldn’t withstand the pressure I put on it. You broke down and ended up leading every member of the audience on a foray with you into the arena basement to recover your lost Natalya. Back then I thought you were strong, but now I know you are weak Miz and you have always known it. That’s the reason you succumbed to dementia and you went into our match without considering the outcome and you fell to me. Over the last few weeks Miz, you have returned to your insolent ways and what have you amounted to since then? You have slipped, your performances have waned and your girlfriend has left you for a more capable man, or so she thinks. Now you enter a match against me with a head full of steam and once again you will vacillate before crumbling beneath me, mirroring you performance at Bad Blood. Don’t assume that while things have changed for you they haven’t for me Miz, because that isn’t the case. Ever since I came out the better competitor at Bad Blood I have thrived in the main event. Each and every week I walk through the smoke and I turn the lights out I grow a little stronger, a little sharper. If you are coming into this contest with me expecting to face off against the same Undertaker who you faced at Bad Blood the match will end quicker than my contest with RVD.
The WWE fans are booing Undertaker and trying to refute every single word he speaks however, there is some truth to every sentence which bites into the fans and agitates them further. This only works against Undertaker as they berate him further in defence of Miz and now, since he was brought up, Rob Van Dam. The entire WWE Universe present in the crowd and watching at home are clinging on to the hope that Miz can at last dethrone Undertaker from his “pedestal” above the rest of the Raw roster, just as they do every week. Any time the WWE fan base dares to hope however, they have suffered the bitter taste of disappointment along with the loser of the match. Clearly this week they believe The Miz can pull it off after coming so close previously, contrary to Undertaker’s philosophy, which is that he will win every single match he takes part in.
Undertaker
Do you still invest yourself in your own unique form of humanism Miz? Remember when you traversed the dark halls of the arena basement? Every other moment I taunted you with the fact I had Natalya and that your weaknesses were uncovered and I was preying on them. I was above you Miz, while you refuted everything I said with the simple argument of your own human mind I was really using my greatest weapon on you. Do you know what that weapon is Miz? It’s your own mind. Your consciousness was marauding on your will to go on every second you walked through that basement, your innate trepidation and lack of self belief destroyed you then and it will do the very same tonight. Well, your mentality will be ruined then it will be up to me to take you apart in the ring and highlight your utter inferiority to me in this very ring. As it was at Bad Blood, this ring will be drenched in your blood, the bright, white canvas will be tainted by your maroon blood as it drips down on the ring mat as I stand over your battered and bruised body. Don’t think that the suffering will end when I pin you Miz, no it won’t. After I have garnered yet another decisive victory in the ring and the carnage there stops, the carnage will start anew when I sacrifice you to the Ministry. I’ll string you up on my insignia and raise you to the rafters where all will see my supremacy over you and I will reinforce my dominion over this entire brand.
Jim Ross
Undertaker is really taking it to the Miz here tonight, he has listed his ultimate weakness, degraded him for coming up short against him a month ago and he went below the belt by talking about how The Miz lost Natalya to Shawn Michaels. Undertaker may be severe and frankly, a little harsh in his trash talk, but he knows he is the master of mind games and he is planting seeds in the mind of Miz right now which will no doubt, grow and trouble him going into their match later on. So go ahead King, who do you think will win tonight’s main event? Undertaker or Miz?
Jerry Lawler
Well JR, I know you are gonna say I always side with the bad guy, but I choose Undertaker over The Miz tonight. Mainly because he is unbeaten in the last few weeks and because the last time these two fought Undertaker won, which was at Bad Blood.
Jim Ross
Wow King, that is actually a well thought out decision, different to normal.
Jerry Lawler
Well, all that stuff and one other crucially important thing JR that swayed Undertaker in my favour. Ever since Bad Blood ended, Miz lost Natalya and when you lose the puppies you lose King! My new favourite singles wrestler is Shawn Michaels now he has Natalya on his team!
Jim Ross
Oh king, grow up!
Undertaker
So Miz, do you see? There truly is no hope for you tonight and I will add yet another victory to my unbeaten streak by overwhelming you tonight and getting the three count with a career ending tombstone. Now before I bid each and every one of you farewell, I have one more pressing matter to speak of. There is a rumour now that there is a draft scheduled to take place in the near future and I would just like to say to all of the overambitious and arrogant stars that are setting foot into my brand and getting into my yard to work your matches to watch yourselves. If any of you ever dare cross me or get on the wrong side of me, there will be hell! Finally, I have gotten no response to my request to have inter brand warfare. Vince, Shane, I would prefer to get a response from you in the near future regarding this subject which is of particular interest to me. I would thoroughly enjoy getting the chance to meet the likes of CM Punk, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho and The Rock in the ring. That way I can finally shut the mouths of fans who speculate as to what would happen if we ever faced off and that way I will officially be the greatest single superstar in the history of this business and any other sports entertainment industry in that case because we all know the best of the best wrestle here and I am the champion ahead of all the pretenders who believe they are the best on Raw. Miz is one of the and tonight I will send the reality of his inferiority into “Reality’s Legend”. Tonight Miz, you will……..REST………….IN……………………PEACE!!!!
Undertaker rolls his eyes back as he speaks his signature phrase, the boooing adds to the hostility of the statement. As Undertaker restores his eyes he drops the microphone on the ring mat making the thud audible around the arena through the speaker system. Undertaker eases his way beneath the top rope and jumps to the outside, as he lands he pauses with his hand on the apron before continuing up the ramp, ignoring the antagonism of the capacity crowd who seem to feel sheer disdain for every fibre of his being. Undertaker makes his way up the ramp and looks back from it’s peak one more time before leaving the arena to the backstage area, no doubt to prepare for his match against The Miz.
Jim Ross
Well there you have it folks, Undertaker’s visit is concluded. The next time we witness “The Lord of Darkness” he will be prepped for an in ring war with The Miz in tonight’s main event. For now though we have to take a brief commercial break. Don’t go away, Monday Night Raw will be back in a few moments.
EORP
There you have it, feedback is welcome!

There you have it, feedback is welcome!
