Scene One: Remembering . . . a powerful tool!
Monday July 2nd 9:27 A.M.
The scene opens up and the new . . . well old school Stalker really can be seen standing in an old abandoned school yard. He looks around . . . he walks over to a swing set it is heavily dented. He pats it softly . . . almost as though he were caressing it . . . this swing set holds special meaning for Stalker . . . and by the look on his face he is contemplating telling it. He does not however and simply moves on he stops at a few other pieces of playground equipment . . . before finally coming to the spot that he has decided is his destination for this day. He turns in a grand gesture taking in all of this dilapidated, old playground . . . from the swing we saw earlier . . . to the old baseball field you can barely recognize except for a backstop fence . . . and a pair of rutted . . . broken benches.
And here we have it. Dominic do you remember this place . . . This is the place where it all began for us isn’t it? I bet you thought you put this place behind you didn’t you? Well you may have but I have not . . . see this place was the place where someone ever tried to stop me from having my way when I was young . . . some scrawny . . . knob kneed . . . chump-stain . . . against me after MONTHS of indignation . . . insults . . . and ridicule. Who would have guessed that inglorious child would grow up and become Thy W.W.E. Intercontinental Champion Dominic Reynolds? This Sunday Dominic you and I step inside the squared circle and it is about time . . . about time that I get the chance to get revenge for the ONE AND ONLY blemish on my fight record . . . the one time that YOU . . . you snot nosed punk stood up to me . . . and that you would be the only person to even ATTEMPT to put me in my place.
Stalker stops and it is visually clear that he is becoming unraveled. It takes some time but Stalker manages to regain his stoic . . . lethal composure. He stands at the backstop of the baseball field and looks out over the scene.
You Reynolds you need to know that while you stood up and backed me down all those years ago it WILL not happen again . . . I will not be made into a fool again. I have dominated everywhere I have been . . . you can call up any wrestler in the country right now . . . and if they have been in the ring with me they either lost or they barely came out of it alive . . . and with the most of them they were just men put into a ring to entertain a bunch of knuckle dusting neanderthals. You however you are a different animal entirely. You are a man . . . the ONLY man to hurt me. So this Sunday this is not a match between you and I this is a war . . . a war of attrition.
Stalker kneels on one knee and rubs his hand in the dirt. He draws back his hand and it has a clump of the clay in it.
Our careers have run rather close to parallel Dominic . . . it would seem that we both dominated wherever we were you seem to have carved out a nice little niche for yourself. Dominic there is just one problem with you and your work here in Thy . . . and that would be the fact that you have done it under false pretenses. Your Intercontinental Championship run means nothing not until you have faced someone of my calibre.
Stalker stands and runs the clay between his fingers. After a few moments Stalker walks back to the swing set from earlier. He leans on the most rusted post and looks to the sky.
Dominic you think that just because you succeeded in standing up to me once that you can do it again. I have been waiting sixteen years for the chance to show people that you are nothing more than a punk ass kid. Now Sunday night you need to know that this win can only go one of two ways either I win and regain my place of dominance . . . or I lose and my career is over . . . because I will have reached the end of my fourteen year career. If I can’t beat you then it devaluates my commitment to this industry . . . and my ability to walk out in front of these cretans day in day out. So why would I even bother? I have made a decision. If I lose this match then my career is over.
Stalker stands again and walks out of the school playground and into the parking lot. He walks over to his car and opening the door he gets in . . . he starts the engine and slowly drives out of the parking lot. After a few minutes the scene cuts out all that can be heard is the radio playing a punk radio station.
Scene Two: Focus . . . a must for a match like this . . . at all costs!
Saturday July 7th 8:03 P.M.
The scene opens up and we can see that it is a dark motel room. Stalker is nowhere to be found. As the outside lights reveal more of the room we can see there is a small love seat a twin bed a big tv and a computer. After a few minutes the sound begins to filter through the video feed, and the sounds of a shower running can be heard. The person in the shower begins singing and by the voice we can tell it is not Stalker.
La . . la . . . la . . . la . . . la . . la . . . la la la la la.
A few minutes later a girl maybe fifteen or sixteen comes bouncing out of the washroom and jumps onto the bed. After she looks around and see that she is the only one in the room she goes and turns on the light. After this she finds a note on the small bedside table. She picks it up and reads it.
Kiara, I knew you would be hungry when you got out of the shower so I went to the motel restaurant I am waiting for you downstairs please join me when you read this. Daddy.
The teen puts on her jacket and leaves the room going to the elevator. She soon joins her Daddy in the lobby restaurant . . . none other than Stalker Knight. Stalker actually smiles as he sees his little girl and she runs full bore into his arms. She hugs him, and kisses him. He sets her down and walks her to a table.
Kiara I know that you usually stay with me during the summer but this match is probably the most important match I have left. So I was hoping that you would be willing to go and stay with Aunt Destiny. Yeah i know you always live with her since your Momma died but I need to focus and I am sorry but I can’t do that with you hanging off of me.
Kiara looks hurt, and begins to cry.
Bu . . .but Dad you promised this time would be different. You promised that after this match you would be coming home . . . that we could be a family again. I HATE YOU!!!!!
Kiara runs back to the elevator. She goes back up to the room and locks herself inside. After about a half an hour Destiny walks into the restaurant and sits down beside her brother. A moment later she slaps him.
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? YOU MADE A PROMISE TO THAT LITTLE GIRL!!!!! You need to make things right . . . she loves you.
Stalker looks at his sister . . . then speaks.
You showed up just a little late sister as usual. SHE said she HATES me . . . she locked herself in the room and she won’t come out.
Destiny slaps him yet again.
You pompass fool . . . you know damned well that you could come tonight to my home . . . and still be well enough alone to prepare for your match . . . but I have the question to end all questions for you. What is more important . . . wrestling or your little girl?
Stalker’s eyes flare with anger . . . a look that has not crossed his face in many months. Stalker looks ready for war just because of those few words.
Destiny I did not call you here for a lecture I called you here to take care of my little girl. Do you even know who I face tonight?
Dominic Reynolds? Yeah I know him.
Stalker looks at her intensely.
Oh do you sister? Well did you know that he is the punk assed bitch who ended my reign of terror all those years ago?
Destiny knows what this means to her brother. She looks at him shocked.
Brother . . . you mean you can finally bring this to an end and come back to us? Be the man that your little girl deserves?
Stalker looks at his sister and then waves his hand.
Just go upstairs and get her before someone declares me an unfit parent . . . you yourself know how difficult it can be to be a single parent and a wrestler . . . it was so stressful that you walked away. DO YOU NOT THINK THAT I WISH I HAD HAD THAT STRENGTH? To just walk away . . . and my family would still be complete.
Destiny again is shocked.
What do you mean . . . how would you walking away have made your family complete?
Stalkers eyes lose all anger . . . all intensity and now just look glazed.
If I had walked away seven years ago then Clayton Jones would not have put a hit on Annabelle and Kiara would still have her mother. Please take Kiara and keep her safe.
Scene Three: The time is finally here. Sunday July 8th 9:23 P.M.
The scene opens up and we can see Stalker standing outside the arena with another man this man is as yet unknown to us.
Clayton you slimy bastard. Tonight I can finally be rid of you. If I win then I will have enough money to pay you off for the last time . . . if I lose then you will have succeeded in breaking the one thing I have left . . . my spirit. Either way we are done tonight. If I see you after tonight then I will kill you on sight. You know I will.
Clayton walks closer to Stalker . . . then punches him right in the eye. Stalker drops to a knee.
Joey . . . Joey Maxwell you really think you can be rid of me just by handing me some money . . . or by losing everything you have? You will not be rid of me. If you lose then I will take from you the last thing of value you have.
Stalkers eyes show a fear that is so deep that it shakes him to his core. He looks around and moments later he can see on a security screen Kiara . . . she is being followed by one of Clayton’s men.
You fucking coward. I will win. I will beat Dominic Reynolds tonight not for you not for myself . . . but for my wife and my daughter Kiara.
Clayton kicks Stalker one last time and laughs as he walks away from the arena. Stalker stands once more and the fury has returned to his face.
Dominic this was personal before Clayton got involved . . . now you have no hope of winning because if I don’t beat you . . . to within an inch of your life and take from you the one thing you hold dear in this industry then Clayton and his goons are going to take the one thing in this world that means anything to me. So tonight be prepared for tonight your career comes to an end.
Stalker walks into the arena and down to his locker room. He picks up his gear bag and after a few minutes of contemplation he drops it and just walks to the go position and awaits his music.
Tonight I bring to you everything I have and I pray you do the same . . . because if you hold back even for a second then I will always wonder which one of us was best.
Stalker’s music hits and the scene fades as he walks through the curtain.

I use to always ask myself what I would ever do if I saw Joey again.
Would I hit him again?
Would I be scared?
When I first laid eyes on him again, at first I was not certain. You see there was something about him that seemed familiar, but it took me a few moments before I was able to put my finger on it. It was the gleam in his eyes, every time when Joey would pick on me or another one of the kids on the playground, he’d always puff his chest out like he was some kinda real tough guy. I remember seeing the gleam, seeing how excited he would get.
I guess it was only natural for a man like that to find a career in professional wrestling.
I guess it was only natural for a man like that to get paid by walking into a ring and pretending to be a tough guy night in and night out. Because ultimately when you think about it, ever since we were kids that is all you’ve been really doing isn’t it Joey…is just pretending? I’ve always wondered why though, I’ve always wondered what kind of a messed up life you would have to of endured for you to actually go around and derive such joy about making others miserable. Was your dad never around Joey? Did your mom never kiss you on the head and let you eat cookies and milk while watching cartoons on a Saturday afternoon.
Maybe you just didn’t understand?
That has to be it, maybe you just didn’t have a full grasp on the torment and the mental anguish that you caused us all those years.
I use to wake up nearly every night Joey screaming after having a bad dream stemming from something you had done to me the day before or another time. There were instances where I had wet the bed, where even my own reflection in the mirror terrified me. Did you know that Joey? Did you know that because of you, despite being nearly mute as it due to my autism that I had to see a child psychologist two times a week?
Did you know that you almost robbed me of the chance to actually enjoy my childhood, to be a care-free kid?
In a way I actually want to thank you.
Shocking right, I know, to actually say those words to you sounds wrong…almost like they don’t fit, or don’t belong. You see Joey, had you not taken that book of sheet music from my hands that my pop had given me and tore it in the manner that you did; then I do not think that I would had ever found the guts to do what I did when I knocked your block off.
Tell me Joey, how did it feel to be the one that was getting bullied for a change?
What was going through your mind as I took you to the ground and shattered your nose with punch after punch? You tasted your own blood that day Joey, a simple tease compared to the numerous times that I had done the same thanks to you.
At Ascension Joey, Stalker Knight, whatever you are calling yourself…it’s going to be the exact same.
You see my friend; as I said earlier, you’ve made your living off pretending to be a tough guy.
Problem with that…I know the truth.
I know you’re weak, a coward…and when I knock your block off for the second time and retain my Intercontinental Championship, the whole world is going to see it this time rather than just the kids and teachers in that school yard.
