Chelsea Westbrook vs. Open Challenger
In a truly disgusting manner, we seen Lyara Jayde decide to take her ball and go home, blaming management and rambling on incessantly about conspiracies revolving around her getting screwed, when in truth, she just wasn't good enough to compete. Rather then punish Chelsea, management has mandated that the match will stay on as scheduled, with the first diva to come down to ramp and answer the challenge will get the match.

--Monday Night-- --The bell had rung and once again Chelsea had been named the victor. The referee had raised her arm and once again Chelsea couldn't believe that this was really happening. She'd won again. Inside she was ecstatic and wanted badly to stay out in the ring and relish in the victory. She was 2 for 2 and couldn't believe it. Afraid that when she walked back into the locker room Jake would be there and would once again be in a foul mood. The adrenaline was starting to wear off the more she feared Jake's reaction and her body was beginning to get sore. Chelsea had sucked it up and had gone backstage and when she did she'd been surprised by the lack of Jake's presence in the hallway like last week. She had made it all the way to the locker room he'd procured for them when she'd seen him sitting comfortably on the sofa, his feet propped up on the coffee table. He'd greeted her by flashing a grin that used to make her weak in the knees. He'd leaned back even more placing his hands behind his head.-- Jake - Why so hesitant Chellycakes? Relax, you've just won yourself a hell of a match. Go take a well deserved break, shower, change, do whatever it is you girls do after a match like that.Chelsea - Really? You aren't going to drag me out of here like last week? Jake - Sugarbee, like I said, relax. Come...sit. --She'd gone and sat next to him quite unsure of what was going on. Jake just continued to smile.-- Jake - So your victory tonight not only earned us a nice size payout, but it also secured you a match at Anarchy, Sunday in New Jersey. You leave tonight. --Her shoulders had slumped and she'd tossed her head back against the couch. Just what she'd wanted to do after working so hard in the ring was drive for the next couple days to New Jersey.-- Chelsea - Jake I am exhausted, my muscles are locking up, I honestly don't think I could drive us out of the parking lot much less make our way towards New Jersey. Jake - Don't worry, what makes you think I wouldn't make sure you were taken care of? (Chelsea had just arched her brow at him) Now now, behave. If you look there on the table, I got you a plane ticket. First Class even. --Chelsea had then gotten up and looked on the coffee table. Sitting there indeed was a First Class plane ticket with her name on it. She'd stood there dumbfounded.-- Chelsea - So I am going to be there for a week? What should I do? Jake - Whatever it is you need to do Chelly to get yourself ready for your match. Chelsea - Who am I facing? Jake - That's the surprise. (She'd looked at him confused) I mean that honestly. I don't know who you are facing. We won't find out until you are out there in the ring and your opponent walks out from behind the curtain. Chelsea - Can they do that?! How....Jake...that...no. I can't do that. I mean, do we know for certain that it will be a girl? --That was when things had gotten awkward. Jake had stood up and a look of worry flashed across his face. Chelsea had known at that moment that he couldn't give her the reassurance she'd been looking for. The fear had hit her and it hit her hard. Her hands had started to shake as she held onto the plane ticket. Jake had gotten up from the couch and had move towards her. He gripped her shoulders and had forced her to look at him.-- Jake - Don't lose faith in me yet Chelly. While you spend some time in New Jersey getting ready, do whatever you want to do to get yourself prepared. I am going to drive the truck back to Galveston and will fly out in a few days and meet you there. I am going to do everything I can to try and find out who your opponent is going to be. Chelsea - But what if it is a guy? Jake I wouldn't stand a chance. It's impossible...I can't take not knowing Jake. I can't do this. We need to sever the ties here while we are ahead, say we gave it our best shot and call it good. We can find another way to do this...to make money. --The tears had started to form in Chelsea's eyes and she'd taken the opportunity to look away from Jake. However he'd taken her face in his hands and looked at her.-- Jake - I'll say it again Chels, don't worry. I will always take care of my girl. --That was when it had happened. Jake had leaned forward and had pressed his lips to hers. Chelsea had been caught off guard and before she could react he'd pulled away but kept his hands on her face. She'd started to say something but he put his finger to her lips.-- Jake - I will take care of everything. No other man will ever touch you Chelsea. I put up with it when we first got here. (He shook his head) No more. I'll find out what I can about your match. You'd better get going or you will miss your flight. There is hotel reservation information in your bag along with about a thousand bucks. I know it isn't a lot to have a bunch of fun on, but hopefully it will hold you over until I get there. --Chelsea hadn't been able to say anything. Every time she tried Jake would just smile and shake his head telling her he would take care of everything. She'd taken a couple moments to freshen up in the bathroom as best she could without taking a shower. Jake had gotten a cab to take her to the airport. The entire cab ride and flight to Newark New Jersey Chelsea couldn't shake the odd behavior from Jake. Back in Galveston he'd been damn near violent with her. He was loud, rude, and mean. However now, it was like he was a completely different person. He was acting more and more like the Jake she'd grown up with. The one she'd fallen helplessly in love with several years ago. To say she was confused was an understatement. Try as she might, she finally had forced Jake and his odd behavior out of her mind so she could focus on what she would do for her match at Anarchy.-- --Wednesday Morning-- --The light streamed into the hotel room from the large windows. The human sized mass buried beneath the blankets began to stir. Throwing the blankets off Chelsea raised her arms above her head stretching her limbs as far as they could go trying to shake off the tightness from sleeping. She swung her bare legs over the edge of the bed and sat up. Chelsea ran a hand through her sleep messed hair and smiled. Ever since she'd arrived in Newark and at this hotel Chelsea had rather enjoyed her time here. She'd relaxed, toured around town, even did a little shopping on Tuesday. Yes she missed her niece and the rest of her family back home, but it was nice for her to get out and be on her own a little bit. Today however she decided she was going to buckle down and do something productive. Back in high school when Chelsea was captain of her cheer squad and it was competition time she was constantly at the library on the computer researching the other teams routines. Since she couldn't research her opponents moves because she didn't know who it was, she thought she would do the next best thing. Research wrestling moves in general. Grabbing a pair of gray sweatpants Chelsea slid them on over her blue panties. She tossed her shirt off and slipped her bra on and a white tank top. Searching the floor she found her oversized blue Hellcats sweatshirt and slipped it on over her head. Forgoing socks Chelsea slipped her feet into her black Converses and pulled a scrunchy off the dresser. Chelsea wrapped her hair up in a messy pony tail and grabbed her black messenger bag. Making sure she had her hotel room key with her Chelsea headed out of the hotel. A half an hour later Chelsea was cuddled up in a chair in the computer lab of the local library. Her knees where pulled up to her chest and her feet planted on the seat of the chair. She rested a notebook on the top of her knees as she scribbled down some notes. Looking up at the computer she opened up a new browser and typed in the website she hoped would be the most help...www.youtube.com. She had always been a visual learner. Strumming her finger tips on the keyboard trying to think of just what it was she wanted to search for. Chelsea typed into the search box 'womens wrestling moves' and hit enter. Over 700 results. Well it was a start she thought. Looking at the first listing...How to Sprawl Reverse, Chelsea looked confused at the screen. She didn't even know what that meant. Deciding to skip that one she looked at the next. The Top Ten Signature Moves in Women's Wrestling. There we go, that sounds a little more promising she thought. Tapping the mouse Chelsea brought the video up. Chelsea sat there watching the video. Her eyes wide as she watched the women in the ring.-- Chelsea - Oh wow...those Asian women are intense! --Someone in the library 'shhh'ed' her. She rolled her eyes and jotted a couple moves down in her notebook. Looking on the right hand side she saw something that peaked her interest. She clicked The Top Ten Diving Moves Performed by Women. Always having been athletic and limber being a former cheerleader and gymnast the idea of flying across the wrestling ring was really appealing. She watched and jotted more moves down in her notebook. The sound of the oohs and aahhs from the crowd got her excited. This was definitely appealing and she thought the more athletic and unpredictable she could be the better off not only her matches would be, but her too. The video finished and again...she was intrigued. Chelsea spent the next several hours scouring Youtube and the internet for different wrestling moves. Taking a few moments to jot down the ones she thought if taught, she could do, and do well. Feeling her stomach rumble she decided she'd taken enough notes and it was time for lunch. Chelsea left the library and spent the rest of the day walking around town while her mind replayed the videos she watched. By the time she returned to her hotel she was exhausted, she'd showered and went to bed.-- --Thursday Morning-- --Once again Chelsea stirred as she laid in bed buried under the covers. She went to raise her arms above her head to stretch but her arm ran into something warm and solid next to her. Suddenly very alert Chelsea jumped up tossing the blankets back only to be greeted by Jake laying in bed beside her smiling.-- Jake - You know you are beautiful when you sleep. --Quickly grabbing the blankets to wrap around her waist, she really didn't want him seeing her in her t-shirt and panties..-- Chelsea - What....wait...how did you get in here? Jake - I reserved the room...I get a key too Chelly. Chelsea - How long have you been in here? --Jake grinned and rubbed the stubble that was growing along his jaw as she got up from the bed. His naked form answered her question for her. He'd spent the night sleeping next to her. He grabbed a pair of jeans and slipped them on while giving her a wink. Chelsea was still shocked he'd spent the night next to her and she didn't even know it.-- Chelsea - Why? Damnit Jake what makes you think you can just do that? We aren't together! Jake - Well, because I have a little more insight to your Anarchy match. I figured that earned me the chance to sleep in a bed after that long ass flight. --Chelsea shook her head and slipped on a pair of yoga pants.-- Chelsea - What did you find out? Do you know who I am facing? I really don't like the idea of not knowing....it freaks me out a little bit. Jake - Well...(he runs his hand through his messy blonde hair) I don't know who exactly, but you can rest that pretty little mind of yours. Your opponent will indeed be a woman. Like I said though, I just don't know who for sure. --Chelsea flops down on the bed staring at the floor.-- Chelsea - Well that is good I guess. I'm still up in arms over not knowing. Is this normal for a rookie to get her third match and not know who the hell she is going up against? Jake - Chels, you've won your first two matches, you can put this one away too. Chelsea - Jake this isn't the same. How do I do this? --Jake moves around the bed and kneels in front of her. He takes her quivering hands in his to try and calm her nerves.-- Jake - I don't know how you've done what you have Chelsea. You've proved everyone wrong, hell you've gone and proved me wrong too. We both know I don't know the first thing about wrestlin' and when you got in the ring that first night for that battle royal thing, I regretted getting you into this. (He pushes a strand of her hair behind her ear.) I don't want you to get hurt Chelly. I know I've done an awful lot of nasty things to you, I can't explain it. The truth is, I don't want to lose you and I'm afraid I already have. --Chelsea stares down at their hands. Why the hell did this shit have to happen now? She needed to be focused on trying to find some strategy for her unknown opponent, not trying to decipher Jake.-- Chelsea - Jake please don't.... --Jake leaned forward and as he'd done a few days earlier, pressed his lips to hers and kissed her. Cutting her off and taken back, he broke the kiss before she had a chance to react.-- Chelsea - This isn't the time or the place to do this Jake....to even discuss this. We had our chance, that time has since passed. Right now I need to focus on this match. --He stands giving her some much needed space. Chelsea's mind sorts through everything that just happened and shoves it aside. This is time for business.-- Chelsea - So um...what is so special about this Anarchy thing? Why am I not wrestling on Raw again? Jake - From what I've been able to find out, Anarchy is a special event. Usually the GM and Owner will book their top people in big time matches in order to get bigger revenue. While Raw on Monday is guaranteed, Anarchy is like a bonus show. It's a pay per view event so people at home have pay a pretty penny to even watch it. That is why they usually stack the card so people at home will think it is worth it. Chelsea - Oh great, now there is even more pressure. Jake, if...IF anyone even knows who I am, putting me on that card is hardly impressive. Fans don't know who Chelsea Westbrook is. I've had two matches...two in my entire life! Even the independent underground people don't know who I am. I'm just some noob they shouldn't give two shits about. Jake - (looking at her surprised) Where did you learn to talk like that? Chelsea - I've been doing research on wrestling while I was here. I have a whole bunch of moves I'd like to learn and I think could really help me. I just have to find someone to teach them to me. Jake - We will, we'll find someone. Chelsea - Jake...let's be serious for a minute here. Nobody is going to care about my match. They may have cared for the battle royal because they wanted to see the Divas they know show up. I just happened to be there. Then on Monday with Maryse...again, they wanted to see her because they know her. This time, my match is going to be everyone's bathroom break because they don't know who I am facing and odds are, won't care enough about me to stick around to find out. --Jake walks over to Chelsea, takes her by the shoulders and stands her up. He looks her right in the eye, his gaze filled with intensity.-- Jake - Then at Anarchy we start making them care. Those who do go to the bathroom will wish they'd stuck around to see the amazing Chelsea Westbrook go 3 for 3. They will start to care for the Diva who has never wrestled before take on all these women with twice or three times the experience she has. They will care when she stands there over their bodies getting her arm raised time and time again. Chelsea I've known you my whole life. I've seen the fire in your eyes, I've seen the intensity, I've seen the hunger, and I've seen the fire when you get pissed. Nine times out of ten that anger has been directed towards me, so I know it well. You are no push over Chelsea. I've seen you when you are determined. You need to let that Chelsea out, put away this insecure Chelsea. Think back to high school, you and the gang are at the state finals. Key moves from your routine were just stolen. You have twenty four hours before competing. You spent all night with the squad going over new moves and you ended up blowing the minds of the audience, the competing squads, and the judges. Point is, Chelsea you can do this. You can do anything. Not knowing who you are facing, sure it gives them an advantage, but you know what, take that advantage away from them. Become a different person...become a different Chelsea. --Chelsea stood there silently for several minutes she'd dropped her gaze to the floor while her mind raced with everything he just said. When she did look up at him she gave him a wicked smile.-- Chelsea - We need to find someone to teach me some moves. I'll get my notebook. --Jake returned her grin as Chelsea moved away to get dressed and find the notebook she'd taken with her to the library. She was going to do everything she could to give herself a fighting chance. If she ended up going down at Anarchy, she was damn sure she would put up a damn good fight.--
