Match 1: CM Punk vs. Joey The Bastard
With talent coming in at such a high influx, it's actually getting harder and harder for management to insure that every talent contracted to Raw gets their chance to shine. This week though, two newcomers to Thy get their chance to make a name for themselves here. A win gets all eyes on you, while a loss, isn't a start any rookie wants. Tune in Monday to see who is going to pull it off.
Match 2: Barton vs. John Morrison W/AJ Lee
Two more newcomers to Thy WWE in Barton and John Morrison. We seen Barton actually debut last week in an interview segment entitled "The Live Wire". Now all talking is aside as Barton faces John Morrison with the beautiful AJ Lee by his side. Just like with the first match, all eyes are going to be on these two men...with the winner getting that push down the right track...while the loser will have to go back to the drawing board.
Match 3: Terry Lawrence vs. Christian
Two impressive dominating victories and we can already hear talk of big things in the future of Terry Lawrence. Defeating John Sturking and now John Cena this past week on Raw has been impressive so far, can this impressive upstart make it three in a row when he takes on Christian...who is coming off a loss in tag team competition last week. I'm sure that Christian is gonna be looking to derail Terry's momentum, question is...can he do it...or is he gonna get added to Terry's win column. Tune in to find out...
Match 4: Jesse Neal/Mark Greenberg vs. Shawn Michaels/John Sturking
(#1 Contenders Match--Tag Team Championship)
The professional wrestling business is a very fickle game...it only takes one impressive showing to get noticed. Jesse Neal and Mark Greenberg...with only one match under their record as a team, put up such an impressive showing last week that the General Manager has decreed that they will take on Shawn Michaels and John Sturking...with the winners advancing to the PPV to take on Austin and Ken for the tag team titles. We saw some personal words spoken from John and Shawn...will they use that momentum to carry on into a win? Or are we gonna see another impressive set from Neal and Greenberg...to get themselves the shot...tune in to find out.
Match 5: Robin vs. Triple H
(World Title tournament--Round 1)
Triple H, coming off a hard fought war with Austin Starr last week gets a spot in the tournament to crown a new World Champion. His opponent though is no easy task as he faces leader of Society in Robin. Robin looked like a man on another level as he effortlessly dispatched Viper's Champion Randy Orton two weeks ago on Raw. Will Robin do the same here? Or will Triple H pull out another victory and advance one step towards the top prize of being World Champion.
Match 6: Austin Starr vs. Oriole
(World Title tournament--Round 1)
Now this is an interesting pairing here. Apparently Oriole's opponent was meant to be somebody else, but Austin conducted some kind of business transaction with the General Manager to get himself inserted in this tournament. Now already being a tag team champion, why would Austin get himself inserted in this tourney? Will it matter? Last week we watched Oriole get a count out victory over Randy Orton, but her preparation for the match is definitely something to take notice of. All I know is...whatever happens is going to make for exciting television.
