As the audience chatter excitedly about the Thy WWE, having just heard a promo from Maven and a segment between Chris Jericho and Triple H are talking about the recent happenings of the exciting re-opening of the great industry. The camera sweeps across everyone in attendance who leap up and cheer, eager to be caught on tv by one of the camera’s. The camera freezes on a “Kurt Angle rocks!” sign before flicking over to JR and King at the announcers table, Lawler is smiling, with his usual lively look on his face. JR looks at the camera and begins to speak.
Jim Ross: Hello everybody and welcome to the most exciting show on television, Monday Night Raw!
Jerry Lawler: That’s right JR, we have to have the best set up here available on tv, with faces like The Miz, Kurt Angle and The Undertaker.
Jim Ross: A little later on tonight we will see a huge 5 way match for the world heavyweight championship, we will see a new champion crowned tonight, King.
Jerry Lawler: Yeah JR, I can’t wait! But let’s not forget we will also be seeing a huge 4-man battle royal as well as the debut of Chris Jericho against JBL.
Jim Ross: Not to mention some other fantastic matches, we are due an exciting Monday Night Raw, so sit tight folks and don’t go anywhere, you don’t wanna’ miss this show, that’s for sure.
Jerry Lawler: I know I wouldn’t want to miss it! Vince McMahon has some really big plans for this place, as does Shane McMahon.
Jim Ross: Shane McMahon has recently unveiled himself the new general manager of our second show, Smackdown. Our second show will be due to open any time soon, so expect a draft in the near future, perhaps the ministry will be split across two shows, who knows?
Jerry Lawler: With Shane behind the wheel, look forward to some memorable moments on Smackdown, Shane isn’t afraid to dive headfirst into something and I’d anticipate him to be very active in this show.
Jim Ross: We know this man has experience, a former general manager down in FCW, he has come here, hoping to achieve greatness in the Thy WWE, alongside his father, Vincent Kennedy McMahon.
Jerry Lawler: I’m looking forward to big things here JR and I can’t wait for our first PPV, Bad Blood, live in just one week!
Jim Ross: We’ll see the first ever casket match on the re-opened Thy WWE between “The Phenom,” The Undertaker and “Reality’s Legend,” The Miz.
Jerry Lawler: “Reality’s Legend?” Where on earth did he come up with a ridiculous name like that?
Jim Ross: The Miz made himself known to the world of television by taking part in various reality tv shows, thus his name, “Reality’s Legend”.
Jerry Lawler: I would have expected Undertaker to leave The Miz in a heap at the centre of the ring, but Miz surprised me, he defeated Undertaker in a real slug fest.
Jim Ross: It certainly was a hard fought match and Miz came out on top. Tonight, Miz will be facing off here tonight against five other stars in a five man championship scrambled.. But…….oh wait a minute, I have just received a message from backstage….
Jerry Lawler: Well, tell us!
Jim Ross: I would King, but you interrupted me, I have just gotten word that Undertaker is going to be here tonight with a message for this audience tonight.
Jerry Lawer: The Deadman is coming here now? If he comes over here, don’t expect any help from me, I’ll be up that entrance ramp and gone before you can blink.
Jim Ross: Thanks King, I really appreciate that……………
All of a sudden the lights fade away from the arena and boos assorted with screeches fill the darkness. There is an occasional flash of light around the arena, revealing a member of the audience for a split second. Undertaker’s gothic remix of his former ministry plays, with his new intro, of the girls praying.
“As I lay me down to sleep,
I pray my soul is mine to keep,
My soul can never step out of this bed,
Into all the evil, now back from the dead!”
As the crowd shift uncomfortably in their seats and look at each other, Undertaker’s rich voice begins to fill the arena in his sinister din.
“Dorthnei diednei,
Accept the Lord of Darkness as your savior,
Bathnal nathra, de era
Allow the purity of evil to guide you.”
The ministry guitar riff starts to play and the WWE fans stand, eagerly awaiting the arrival of “The Demon from Death Valley,” The Undertaker. As the fans ease into the music, pyro erupts abruptly from the stage, making some members of the crowd jump.
The flames raise high into the air, nearly licking the titantron. From backstage, Undertaker steps through the blazing inferno and halts at the foot of the entrance ramp, with his head bowed.
Jim Ross: With shades of his brother Kane, Undertaker steps through hellfire to stand before us.
Undertaker raises his head up and looks straight at the ring, as he very deliberately makes his way to the ring, in no rush. Undertaker passes shouting fans and ignores those who shout abuse at him and those who invite him to give them a high five. As Undertaker reaches the bottom of the ramp, he stands there, before tossing his arms into the air. As he does so, Undertaker’s insignia appears on the ring canvas via spotlight. Undertaker lowers his arms and ascends to the top of the steel steps. Rather than return the studios standard lighting, Undertaker gets into the ring, comfortable in the dark, with the spotlight on him in the middle of the ring. Undertaker approaches the other side of the ring and grabs hold of a microphone, centering himself in the ring again. Undertaker looks around the arena, with an irate look on his cold, stoic face. The Phenom raises the microphone to his lips and begins.
Undertaker: Welcome to Monday Night Raw, morsels. You are all fresh meat in the eyes of the hounds of hell, with whom you shall all rest forever, tormented. I am the lord of all things dark and of the night and I am the source of all things evil and when we get into the ring tonight, evil will spread to all for corners of the ring and I will enthrall all of the wayward souls in my malevolence and taint their souls forever. I will make playthings of your “heroes” and I will crush your idols with my dark, iron will. Maven, you are a fool. All you can do is boast about your body, which very soon will be so badly beaten, your body so horribly deformed, you will have little to brag about. Now you tell me I have an imperfect body, well Maven I am imperfection, I am all that is tainted, evil and of the night. Oh and for the record Maven, when was the last time you tried to muster a full head of hair? It seems you have been bald for as long as I can remember. Or maybe you will try to get your dull life back on track with another foray into reality tv, you and Miz must be great friends. So while you sit back there, waxing your bald head, listen up, because playtime is over. When I get into that ring in the scramble, I will be cold, callous and calculated. No one will survive me tonight, because when The Phenom focuses, there are none who can stop me, my Wrestlemania streak will vouch for that. Tonight, I am getting my game face on, all in my path will stumble and fall into the dust, while I stand on my rightful perch, as the WWE champion!
The crowd boo as Undertaker nods at them, He flicks his hair back and stares at the crowd with an intense look on his face.
Jim Ross: Undertaker is intense tonight and few stop the phenom in his tracks when he is in this kind of mood. Undertaker always seems to produce in the big game situations and tonight is no different, our debut PPV certainly is a big game situation, tonight, we are going to see the dark side of the darkest individual in the entire industry.
Jerry Lawler: Undertaker is ominous, I’d hate to have to step inside that ring alongside The Deadman tonight of all nights with the WWE championship in his sights and you in the way, he’ll run anybody down like a raging bull!
Jim Ross: You’ll find no argument here, King.
Jerry Lawler: Finally we agree on something!
Undertaker raises the microphone back to his lips and continues.
Undertaker: Now, let me see who stands in the way of me being anointed WWE champion shall we? Maven, I beat him on our first Raw and he low blowed me to escape, I have more hair on my chin than he does on his face! D’lo Brown, despite a short spell in The Nation and a lackluster, unfulfilled career, D’lo Brown has done nothing, he will provide me with little opposition. Mr Kennedy, the loudmouth, the fool. Kennedy has run his mouth all week, however, he has only faced Michaels, who is paseed his expiration date and has gone stale. I have adapted, the mighty phenom still stands the most intimidating and respected force in the WWE! Finally, my greatest challenge, “Reality’s Legend” The Miz. Miz snuck a win against me, but mark my words, few have beaten me and even fewer have ever left a grudge with The Undertaker victorious, once again I say to you, is he like Hogan, Austin or Bret Hart? No, he is weak and I felled others who were mightier than Miz, who writes cheques which his body simply cannot cash. “Reality’s Legend” will soon be dropped head first on the canvas and will become detached from reality, burning, tormented in Undertaker’s purgatory, suffering in hell. Now you all see the power of The Undertaker, none in this ring shall oppose me and none will leave the ring unscathed, I will smite them and all will be stricken down in my vengeance. I have dug four damp graves, they will be your vessel to the hell, where only bitter torment and pain await you. Miz, Kennedy, D’lo and Maven, all of you prepare to REST IN PEACE!
Undertaker’s eyes roll back into his skull and a bolt of lightning strikes the stage, bringing up Undertaker’s insignia, etched in flame.
Content with his message, “The Man from The Darkside” exits the arena, stepping past the blazing emblem. Undertaker’s ministry music plays as he exits the arena, to a torrent of boos. Waves of jeers still rage, even as Undertaker is behind the curtain, gone from the ring.
Jim Ross: Undertaker has left us with a lot to think over there. The 5 way match is tonight, don’t go away folks!
The scene fades out into a Bad Blood commercial. It shows flashing images of all the superstars then a gong sounds and you hear, “Rest In Peace!” Followed by, “Because I’m the Miz………..and I’m awesome!” A voiceover proceeds, “Undertaker versus Miz” the advert continues to run through the card in this fashion until another piece of advertisement follows.
