"mine, mine!"
"recognize greatness when you see it!"
"that title shall soon be mine!"
"Greed. It knows no strangers. Greed is captivated by everyone in this world. My greed is for the title. The title that I want oh so much. The thirst, the hunger, the strive for the title. That's what greed is, I want it more and more, and I just never get enough of what I want. You tell me though, what is your greed? What do you want the most in this life that you lead? Where is the greed that you hold deep down and caged within your being. I'll never stop my quest for the title until I get what I want, until I get what I deserve. Some people say that I don't deserve anything. Some people say that I don't deserve a title shot, simply because I haven't earned a shot."
"You tell me how I don't deserve a title match. Let's go deep down into your brain, and let me pick at it for a second and recover the artifacts, which are your past thoughts, and I'll find out the truth. Just why you think that I don't deserve a title match. On what planet do you think that I don't deserve something that has been lined up for me since the start? On what continent do I not prove to be a valuable asset night after night."
"Look me square in the eye, and search deep down within these deep blue eyes, the iciness that inhabits these eyes, and you tell me, you get a look at greatness, and you tell me that I'm not worth it. You tell me that I'm not the best thing going in this business. The thing that many people seem to forget is that I'm better than many of the guys in the back, that I am the best there ever will be to step inside of a ring. It's the truth, and I'd like to see you try and prove me wrong. I would like to know just how you would go on about proving me wrong as well. Is there any way to prove me wrong, and prove your word to be factual? I don't think so. It is a fact though, that I am the best thing, there ever will be. That right there is a fact and I'd just love to see you try and prove me wrong."
"Just how would you do that? By counting out the number of times I've been World champion? To count out the times I've been WWE Champion? Last time I checked, I was the youngest World Heavyweight Champion. That right there on my resume it speaks for itself. There is no other man that has even come close to beating my accomplishment. I am extraordinary, and there is nobody that can take that away from me. The greed that I possess, the strength and the will that I have to hold onto these feats is far greater than anything that you could hold up to me."
"Some call it cockiness, some call it being confident, I just call it being a realist and knowing what you have and when you have it. There is nothing wrong about that, and what seems to be a problem these days is that nobody is truly a realist anymore. They all spew these fictitious lies, and say things that can, and will get the crowd going. If I said that I didn't care about the fans, then that would be a lie, but to screw up my values and to run away from who I truly am, to please people I don't know... I just won't do it. I am a man of many morals, and some people might not know it by what they hear on the news, by what they hear, and see on the television, but I know that the right thing to do is to stay true to me. Stay true to myself, and to never give up on the one thing, on the one person that is going to be there throughout my whole life. Who is always going to be there though? The only person that is physically capable of doing so, is myself."
"Here I stand though, getting the chance that I've been reaching out for the longest time now. All I have to do is go through one of my best friends, my brother basically. How am I going to do this? How am I going to muster up the strength to beat the legend of The Undertaker? How am I going to look him straight in the eye as I pummel him into nothingness? Just how am I going to live with myself if I do something quite like that? I don't know how I'm going to do it, but in order to do it, I'm going to have to... wait, I'm going to have no problem doing it. Sorry Taker, it's nothing personal, it's all just business my brother. You've gotta risk it to get the biscuit as some say, and this greed, this want for the damn prize, is just too strong for you."
"The love that I have for you, is no match for the love that I have for being champion. Being champion means everything to me. Being champion to me, means more than you could ever imagine in your lifetime. Sorry, but I want this more than anyone else, because the feeling of fulfillment was just something that I want to feel again. Is it wrong for me to be this obsessed with something? Is it wrong for me to be this deep into something? Is it wrong? If it's wrong then you tell me what is right, if it is wrong then you tell me just how do I go about being right, because as it seems, I'm usually wrong. Who is going to teach me on how to be right in this world?! My back against the wall. Just how do I get away from this wall, and branch out, and be right for once. How do I do it?"
"If it takes losing the greed that I rightfully need, and want, then I don't want to be right, I want to stay wrong. Wrong... wrong... wrong. The price we pay for being right, is sometimes a lot more costly than we choose to believe."
Randy Orton: The Championship to me, means and shows that I'm above everyone else, that I'm the man to beat on this roster, it shows that I am the best at what I do at this day and age. So in a way, it means a lot to me, and I'll take down anyone who stands in my way.
Chris Jericho: The WWE Championship is the only thing that even remotely matters in my life. Well, that and spreading the good word of honesty and integrity, of course. You need that sort of resolve if you expect to be the best in the world at what you do week in and week out. John Cena pulled out some epic performances to win and retain the WWE Championship, but I don't believe that he consistently has that mentality anymore, which is why this Winter Wonderland that is his title reign won't last.
John Cena: It use to mean everythin'. It use to be my life. My life changed when I met my wife. Now it comes after my family. So, if goin' into Survivor Series means losin' the belt and gettin' my family back... then I'll be perfectly fine with that.
"What I'm chasing.... it's a target that everyone wants, it's something that means more to some than life itself. I'll do anything within my power to regain what is mine. Right or wrong, I'm bringing it back home."

'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: I love you... Lacey.
Quite a change in scenery isn't it? One would think that he'd be saying I love you to Samantha. Right now, he was wove in the web that was spun by the woman who was born of wrestling royalty, Lacey Von Erich. Did you people forget so soon that he was once attached to a woman named Lacey? He kissed Lacey and went on about his way, he gathered his bags and headed out of the door. Hours later he would find himself at his parents house. A long plane flight, or so it seemed. Standing at the front door of the house. Randy hadn't seen his parents in a long time, tossed with the situation that he was in. Not living with Samantha because he couldn't stand the sight of her, so where else could he go? He wouldn't stay in a hotel, that wasn't even an option for Randy.
Knocking on the door a few times, it didn't take long for the door to open up. Without a word even said, Randy went inside of the house and rolled his luggage in as well. There he was welcomed by his whole family. His brother, and his sister. His father, and his mother, they were all there. Seeing them all made Randy give off this faint smile.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: How is everyone?
'cowboy' BOB ORTON: We're all good Randy.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: Well, that's good...
He pauses.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: So, what's on the agenda for tonight?
'cowboy' BOB ORTON: Not much, son.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: Alright then, how about we all go out to dinner tonight?
'cowboy' BOB ORTON: I don't know if tha-
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: C'mon... my treat.
'cowboy' BOB ORTON: Well, in that case son... I'm glad to take ya money!
Everyone laughed. Randy walked further into the house and dropped the extra luggage that he had around his shoulders and the little rolling bags that he had. He took a gaze around the house, panning around the family room. It had been a long time since he had paid a visit to his family's house. The last time he set foot inside of the house was when they were thinking about buying it, and they asked for his opinion on the house. That was the last time that he had even set foot into the house, so to see Randy, it was quite the shock to everyone. They see him at the door with his luggage, and they just knew that there must have been some trouble inside of paradise. Samantha and Randy were having problems. They just knew, because the last time Randy and Samantha were having problems, Randy showed up at their doorstep, but that was a long time ago. They hadn't had many problems since then. This time though, it was a greater problem than ever.
Heartbroken, to say the least.
'cowboy' BOB ORTON: Randy... before we go out to dinner and reunite as a family and all of that stuff, can you just tell us, what is going on between you and Samantha? Why are you here? Listen... I love you just as well as everyone else here in this room, but we know you by now, and we all know that you only stop by when you and Samantha are goin' through some trouble. Now, you tell me what's wrong and we can talk about it, and hopefully set some things straight.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: You really wanna know?
'cowboy' BOB ORTON: It's why I asked son.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: If you really must know. Sam, she cheated on me. That's why I'm here. We had a big falling out. Things didn't end too well, and here I am. I'm standing here before you, because I can't even stand the sight of her right now. I can't see her, because I feel as if, I'm not going to be able to control my anger. I feel like, if I see her, then I'm going to do something, very very bad. That wouldn't be good for her or me if my temper got out of hand.
'cowboy' BOB ORTON: Why did you ever stop going to the anger management classes if you haven't learned how to truly manage that anger of yours.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: Dad, you of all people should know that somethings are controllable and some things aren't. It all depends on the situation. It all depends on what has been put in front of you, and I'm sorry but what I came home to... it's something that I don't ever wanna repeat again, it's something that just unleashed another side of me. It happened just last week too, when Alanna was here! Even though it all happened last week, I remember it... just like it was yesterday...

A WEEK EARLIER
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Hey... how are you doin' tonight?
This was all set inside of a bar. This random guy is sitting at the bar, he had just received his shot glass, after turning, that was when he had spoke. Naturally, he got a response.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: I'm doing fine... and yourself?
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Well, that's good. As for me... I'm doing alright - things could be better, you know? I'm just out here trying to get a load off. To get my mind off of things.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Same here, pretty much.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Oh? What's on your mind?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Just things. You know, husband problems. He's barely around his daughter, and it's really doin' a number on me. What's on your mind? I assume that it's safe to ask you.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: I just got fired. So you know, it's like wow... you work for someone for so long, and then they just cut you loose. That's my dad for you, a heartless fucker. Excuse my french.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: It's okay. I'm sorry to hear that though.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Same goes for you.
He pauses, and thinks for a moment. The look of great pondering shows on his face as he squints his eyes and tilts his head to the side slightly. Samantha smiles as his facial expression when he does it, is rather funny. He keeps his mouth slightly ajar, showing hesitation at first.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: I never did ask you... what's your name?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Samantha. Yours?
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Jacob... Jacob Harrison.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Hmm, has a nice little ring to it.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Haha, oh does it?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Yeah, it does. Especially since you said it like that.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Hm, I never thought about it like that.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Well, now you are... aren't you?
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Oh, you've got some fire under your ass!
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: I guess that you can say.
Samantha looks at him, and she blushes a little bit. He smiles back at her, flirting at it's finest hour. There was a silence that captivated the air between the two of them, nothing but vacant stares, and silence. The moment wasn't getting awkward though, it was doing quite the opposite of that, instead the intensity was heightening. The intensity it was getting more and more electrifying between the two of them. They both were smiling now, they didn't even have to say anything for a smile to appear plastered on their faces. He broke the silence.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: BARTENDER!
The bartender throws his attention toward him.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: TWO BUDWEISER'S!
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Two?
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: You said that you're having husband issues, well my treat.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON:"Seems as if everyone is treating everyone to something these days... anyways, moving along..."
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: You don't mind do you?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: N- no... I don't mind... I just..
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Look, we're both having troubles these days.. I just figured that you needed a drink. I'm just trying to be nice.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Well, thanks.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: You're very much welcome.
"Randy, hurry up and get to the dang point."
"You're the one that wanted to know all about it... so I'm going to tell you all about it, every detail... everything."
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: So... um, drink up?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Alright.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Here's to forgetting about our shitty lives!
They pretty much drank the whole beer can with one swift gulp. Well he did, it took Samantha a few more sips afterward. For a petite young woman though, she pretty much downed the whole drink rather fast. If this moment didn't bring Randy much pain to my life, then he would say that she sounds pretty damn impressive, drinking down her drink like that. Jacob looked at her and he nodded his head in approval of the way that she drank. It was far different from most women, but after she placed down her can, she gave off this look of pure disgust. Beer isn't the best tasting thing, it's more of an acquired taste if anything. Samantha closed her eyes for a second, and Jacob smiled for a brief moment as she opened her eyes once again. The effects were sinking in, and they were sinking in quickly. Some say that the faster you drink, the quicker you feel the effects of things.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Haha, you okay?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: I'm fine...
They both laugh.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: I don't think you are.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: And what about you mister?
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: I'm fine. Just a little out there. Not quite like you though.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: What do you mean exactly, when you say not quite like me?
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Come outside... let's see if you can walk a straight line, and then I'll tell you, and show you that you're not fine.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Let's do it.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: No, I was just sayi-
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: No, no... I'm about to prove you wrong.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Alright then, let's see what you've got then...
Pushing himself rather than getting off of the stall, he did, Samantha hadn't moved. Jacob gently picked her up and placed her in a standing position.
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Too drunk to stand?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: No, I'm fie...
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Huh?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: I'm fine...
Passing by the crowd, pushing to both sides, making room for Samantha who was behind him. They all stared at the two of them walking through the crowd, people tend to do that, look and stare at the thing or the person who touched them.
Sooner rather than later they came to the outside of the bar, by this time Samantha was holding onto the hand of this guy as she tried to steady herself up. They then came to the parking lot, the cemented parking lot had potholes and everything. The rain had just stopped and now there were a lot of puddles that resided in the parking lot. She let go of Jacob's hand and she tried to walk on her own, the first few steps were easy for her, it seemed as if all was going to go well for her, but she soon fell to her knees, the thought that blood had arrived on her hands crossed her mind, but as she looked at her hands, it was only revealed to be mud. The dirtiest of mud that she had ever stuck her hands in.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Aww, this mud is so nastyyyy! Ew! Yuck!
'random guy' JACOB HARRISON: Grab my hand.
She does so, lifting her up, he does. She gets up and attempts to wipe herself down, but to no avail of course. Once she gets up to her feet, they have this stare down of sorts. Idle stares and short breaths, they filled the air right now between them, until the space between the two of them became nonexistent and their bodies touched. All of this within the parking lot of the bar. You know how usually a married wife will kiss another man, but then back off from the kiss as quickly as they possibly can? You know, usually how it happens in the movies and in your favorite sitcom. Well, get a dose of reality, she didn't pull away from this kiss. In fact, the addition of tongue was tossed into the mix, soon Samantha had her back up against her own car, with his hands cupped on her butt. This was as real as it gets.
..
..
..
..
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: YOU FUCKED HIM?! WHERE THE HELL IS ALANNA?
Most of the time, you know the ending of a story, but you never quite figure out the beginning of a story. You never quite get the grasp of the beginning. Well, here is the beginning of the story. You know that Samantha had cheated on Randy, but you never really found out what happened on that day. Here is what happened after Randy caught his wife in bed with that man, Jacob Harrison. He had walked into the room, the covers were over both of their bodies, Samantha was on top of him with her hands on his chest. The moans, you could practically hear them from the hallway, which lead Randy to check out, the premises so to speak. To find his wife on top of some guy, a man that he had never seen before, for the guy's own safety, he better hope that he never sees Randy ever again.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Randy, you don't understand!
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: I don't understand? I don't understand, explain to me how I don't understand? Am I too fuckin' stupid to not understand what the fuck is going on in my own house? Is that it?! Huh?! Am I too stupid to catch you? You thought that you were going to get away with this didn't you?! Because, I'm so damn stupid that it'd be easy to pull a fast one on me, am I right? Am I fuckin' right?! I can't even begin to explain to you just how much you're aggravating me right now! Like you can't even comprehend how pissed off I am at you right now. Do you understand me? Do you understand just how mad I am right now? Not even mad, I don't even know if mad can even describe just how pissed the fuck off I am right now. I'm so pissed off... I'm so pissed off that I could...
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: That you could what?
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: Hit you...
Randy would never ever in his life dream of hitting Samantha but it was one of those things where you get caught inside of the moment and you say something that you don't necessarily mean. Right now, he didn't mean to say that, but the anger that he had cruising through his veins could have told him differently. It was basically the only thing that could describe just how mad he was. To say that he would hit her, just had it sink in to Samantha that he was pissed. She knew that Randy wasn't the type of guy to hit a woman, but to hear him say it, and to sound serious about it, she knew that this meant business, she knew that she had really messed up this time and that Randy was pissed beyond belief. If only she had placed the boot on the other foot, put herself inside of Randy's position, then she would just really be able to get a glimpse of why he'd be mad.
It's within our nature to understand why something of that magnitude would get someone pissed off. Samantha knew why he was pissed off, but just how much. That she couldn't understand truly. Nobody would ever be able to understand. The only person that truly knew how upset he was, was the man himself, Randy Orton. He closed his eyes tightly and shook his head, trying to shake his mind free of the pain that was just brought to him by Samantha. She had fallen silent ever since he said that he was going to strike her. Ever since those words were uttered out of his mouth, Samantha remained silent.
This was best for the moment, to be honest. The more she spoke, the more she could only piss Randy off even more, the more she spoke, the more angry he would get with her. It would be best to leave him alone for right now, and let the steam blow over and escape his head. At first that's what it seemed as if she was going to do. It seemed as if she was going to just let it blow over, but to no surprise, she spoke out to Randy. She saw the silence as a sign that he was through being mad.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Randy, you wouldn't hit me.
He quickly drives his attention back to Samantha, he gives off an icy glare to her and he stands in front of her. He places both of his hands on both sides of her, and he leans in closer. He looks her up and down, examining her posture for a second, she was very scared right now, Randy could sense it in the way she stood in front of him. Randy bit down and his jaw bulged. Randy was pissed at this moment, he didn't even know what to say to her right now. She was defying him, she was testing him, that's the way that he saw it. As if she didn't believe him, now of course he wasn't going to touch her, but the fact that she brought it up in such a manner. It brings him to new levels, to the point where he couldn't even handle it, to the point where he didn't even know what he was going to do next. Most of the times, he knew what he was going to do, but right now, his mind went blank.
He was into the moment. To the point, everything around him wasn't there. Everything around him had now faded out, it was just him and Samantha, alone in blackness. Of course, everything was still there, but Randy had blocked out the rest of the world, to the point where it seemed as if they were the only things around, the only things existing within the confines was him, and Samantha. When he's focused, when he's this angry, most people back off, not Samantha. She wouldn't back down away from Randy.
Why not?
She believes that Randy wouldn't hit her, and it's true, so what does she have to gain by backing down? She believes that she can work it out with him. This is something that you just can't work out, as easily as that. She knew that, but something in the back of her mind gave her that false hope that she just may be able to fix this. What was done, is done. She did what she did and Randy found out, she would now have to deal with the consequences, if the consequences were to get bitched at by Randy, then so be it.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: Where... is Alanna?
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Your parents house... I'm going to get her soon.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: No... I'm going to get her. You can stay right here. You don't even deserve to see her right about now. I'm that pissed at you that I don't even want you to see her! I'm that pissed that I-
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: That you wanna hit me?
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: That's not what I was going to say. What I was going to say is that I'm so pissed off at you, that I cannot even look at you. You know damn well... that I wouldn't hit you, and if you believed that I would hit you then you wouldn't be standing here right now talking to me. When I said that I'm so pissed that I could hit you, that was just something to give you a little taste, of just how pissed off this has made me. That was just a little something to bring you to the realization of just how mad I am right now. It's like... you don't even understand!
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Randy, I messed up!
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: BIG FUCKIN' TIME!
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Listen to m-
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: No...
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Rand-
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: NO!
Pause.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: What part of no, don't you understand? I don't wanna listen to you... I don't wanna hear your bullshit excuses, because that's all that they are. It's bullshit, you don't care about me. You sit here and you act like you actually care! If you cared... you wouldn't do this. So, I'm done listening... I'm done caring. We're done...
His voice trailed off, Samantha grabbed his arm before he had the chance to turn around and leave.
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: Randy, no!
He turns back around and faces her quickly. His fist follows, punching the wall, leaving a mark that resembles the outline of his fist. The big bang that was heard as impact was made, sent a chill down Samantha's spine.
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: Do not touch me...
'the first lady' SAMANTHA ORTON: I LOVE YOU!
'the apex predator' RANDY ORTON: You sure do have a funny way of showing it...
"I'm a hypocrite, because not too long after this, I found myself in the arms of another woman. Now, you may say that we were separated and that it's not considered as cheating, but we were still married. It's just as bad. I'm just as bad as her, it makes me no better. As long as I'm human... I'll always be a hypocrite. It seems to be the thing to do when you're human."
"Give me the whole you're only human speech, I know that I'm only human, I know that I can't be perfect... I don't wanna be perfect, but the fact that I yelled at her, and then went on to do the same thing. It makes me the biggest hypocrite of all time. I'm really just as bad as her."
"This is the greed that most of us feel. The need to want more, and more, and more out of your relationship. You just never get enough. Almost everybody has been filled with this greed. I've fallen subject to the greed, it's powerful, it's potent, it's contagious. I'm living proof of that."
"the hole is still there"
"The hole in the wall, it still lies on the wall where I punched, it's just evidence that, even though things are better now, there will always be that scar. The scar of things that came, it's symbolic, because even though things are better now, it's still present, it's always there. That little hole in the wall at our house, that little hole in the heart... home is where the heart is, right? Even though the emotional scar is there, I'll always love Samantha, call me a fool for taking her back, but if I had to choose... I'd pick her every single time. You ask what's wrong with me, well I don't know... call it love."
